🌟 Keynote Speaker Announcement – Session 4 🌟
We are delighted to welcome Dr. Mònica Campàs, researcher at the Marine and Continental Waters Program of IRTA, as the keynote speaker for Session 4 on 10th September.
Dr. Campàs is an internationally recognized expert in the development and application of biosensors and biotechnological tools for the detection of toxins, microalgae, viruses, and bacteria. Her research focuses on innovative approaches such as electrochemical biosensors, immunosensors, lateral flow assays, cell-based platforms, and colorimetric assays, with applications in food safety and marine monitoring.
She has published over 100 articles and 14 book chapters, co-edited a book on marine toxin analysis, and has led 13 research projects. She has supervised 5 PhD theses, with 3 more currently in progress, and serves as Executive Editor for Analytical Biochemistry (Elsevier) and Scientific Reports (Nature).
