Brand-New-Life ist ein Magazin für Kunstkritik.

Brand-New-Life bietet vielstimmige Perspektiven auf das aktuelle Kunstgeschehen und seine Einbettung in politische und gesellschaftliche Kontexte. Im Fokus steht die Förderung eines pointiert kommentierenden und analytischen Schreibens über Kunst in einer verständlichen Sprache. Künstlerische, journalistische, wissenschaftliche Ansätze ergänzen sich in Brand-New-Life gegenseitig und bilden eine kritische Stimme für die Schweiz die sich auch in internationale Debatten einbringt.

Episode III: How can we listen in a non-extractive way?

A radio play edited by Barbara Preisig and Ronja Svaneborg.

It is a fictional dialogue between three friends sitting together on a balcony, perhaps drinking wine and listening to Hong-Kai Wang’s sound piece „Fuengu“ together, as they discuss questions such as: How to listen in a non-extractive way? How to become aware of my own listening? Can we ever hear without interest? Listen without interpreting? And is there a better or worse way of hearing? Can I be the judge of this?

Brand-New-Life is a magazine for art criticism. The magazine offers polyphonic perspectives on contemporary art and its political and social contexts. Our goal is to encourage pointed and analytical comments about art. In Brand-New-Life artistic, journalistic and academic approaches complement each other and create a critical voice for Switzerland that takes up international debates.
