✏️Integrating Clinical Neuropsychology and Psychotic Spectrum Disorders: A Systematic Analysis of Cognitive Dynamics, Interventions, and Underlying Mechanisms
https://brnw.ch/21wW6x8

About:
📍This comprehensive systematic review reveals critical insights into cognitive impairments across psychotic spectrum disorders. Through analysis of 44 recent studies, the research found that individuals with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and depression show significant deficits in attention, memory, and executive function, directly linked to specific brain abnormalities in regions like the prefrontal cortex and hippocampus. The research demonstrates that neuropsychological tests can serve as powerful diagnostic tools for early detection and predicting disease progression. The findings emphasize the urgent need for personalized treatment approaches that target specific cognitive deficits, moving beyond traditional symptom-focused therapies. This work bridges the gap between neuroscience and clinical practice, offering new pathways for improving diagnostic accuracy and therapeutic outcomes in mental health care.
💡Published in 2024, these findings continue to inform current research developments and clinical applications in and .

✏️We aim to provide an updated comprehensive review of both pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments for depression in Parkinson’s disease (PD), focusing on recent clinical trials, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses. Finally, we discuss the pharmacological agents that are currently under investigation at a clinical level, as well as future approaches based on the pathophysiological mechanisms underlying the onset of depression in PD.

🔎Our systematic review and meta-analysis investigated the role of in the management of , comparing it with standard laparoscopic surgery. Results indicate that while surgery tends to reduce recurrence rates and improve pregnancy outcomes, sclerotherapy represents a minimally invasive, cost-effective, and safe alternative with fewer postoperative complications.

📢These findings emphasize the importance of tailoring treatment strategies to women’s reproductive potential and preoperative conditions.

✍️Male Infertility and the Risk of Developing Testicular Cancer: A Critical Contemporary Literature Review
👤by Giuseppe Maiolino et al.
📊19 Citations

About:
The relationship between (MI) and (TC) is bilateral. On one hand, it is well-established that patients diagnosed with TC have a high risk of pre- and post-treatment infertility. On the other hand, the risk of developing TC in male infertile patients is not clearly defined. The objective of this review is to analyze the histopathological, etiological, and epidemiological associations between MI and the risk of developing testicular cancer.

💡This review aims to provide further insights and offer a guide for assessing the risk factors for TC in infertile men.

📌 Total hip arthroplasty (THA) for Crowe IV hip dysplasia poses challenges due to severe leg shortening, muscle retraction and bone stock issues, leading to an increased neurological complication, and revision rate. The direct anterior approach (DAA) is used for minimally invasive THA but its role in Crowe IV dysplasia is unclear. This retrospective study examines if DAA effectively restores hip biomechanics in Crowe IV dysplasia patients with
