Highlights Adam Christensen

Lene is a tender tribute by Adam Christensen to his mother, who passed away last spring. Using sound recordings from her final weeks—texts and songs—Adam performs live on accordion while creating drawings on paper taped to large windows. As he tears holes in the paper, light streams through, transforming loss into presence.

Highlights

Cafe Zero by Søren Aagaard is a sci-fi cooking ritual exploring the New Nordic movement and an uncertain future.

Performed in a campsite setting with two tents—one for storage, the other a fermentation chamber, oven, and smoke sauna—Søren Aagaard, Holger Hartvig, and Markus Oxelman prepare and share a menu of local ingredients. Microbe songs and scripted kitchen conversations blend themes of dystopia and utopia, while uniforms by Anne Sofie Madsen complete the immersive experience.

Highlights

Under the title Painting Grateful Dead Bears, Basel-based artist Tina Braegger invited children aged 6 to 12 to create their own take on the iconic Grateful Dead bears. Across five fun and hands-on workshops, kids explored ideas of originality and repetition while painting their own colourful bears.

Swipe to see the final results—playful, thoughtful, and proudly presented during the vernissage at the fair hall.

Highlights

In Lesions, Jules Fischer looped a scene of emotional saturation and loss of control.

As Susanne Sachße’s voice recited a text drawn from Testo Ju**ie and 80s sitcom Designing Women, performer Lydia Östberg Diakité lipsynced beneath a rotating spotlight—part stage light, part oncoming threat.

Highlights

After Party A/W 25/26 moved through space and time in a 12-minute durational performance.

Set to a specially commissioned soundtrack by Wayne Binitie & Art Lewy, dancers Sarafina Beck and Harumi Mumenthaler activated Blightman’s House Party paintings and garments in midsummer light. Movement, sound, architecture, and fashion intertwined to evoke the shifting energies of an after-party—between presence, memory, and transition. The installation itself framed urban landscapes from London, New York, Basel, and Turin—paintings as luminous beacons marking moments of time and place.

Highlights

In MANSHIN, Hyeji Nam becomes host to a procession of shifting identities.

Drawing from Korean shamanic ritual, she channels a series of “heads” through breath, noise, and glitch—each flickering into presence before dissolving again. The space is cleansed and claimed, over and over, as body and code entangle in a loop of transformation.

Highlights

Two bodies in the dark—searching, circling, hesitating. In And Now It Is Night, Enad Marouf staged a duet of desire and distance, danced by strangers who may never meet.
Fragmented movement, shifting sound, and poetic pauses evoke a space where grief, memory, and uncertainty quietly unfold. A nonlinear choreography of presence and disappearance.

Highlights

In Ceremonial Recurrence, Yujin Jung invited us into a multisensory ritual where cooking becomes storytelling, and soup becomes a song.

Drawing from her encounters with haenyeo—free-diving sea women of Korea—Jung prepares seaweed soup live on stage. As it simmers, the sounds of cooking merge with voice, memory, and marine myth, evoking cycles of care, loss, and ecological transformation. The performance culminated in the sharing of soup, offered as a gesture of nourishment and interconnection.

Highlights

Melting, molding, dissolving – Éva Mag’s durational performance Operation Analysis – One Waxes a Body unfolds as a quiet ritual of transformation.

Over three hours, two performers carefully fill a human-sized casting mold with hot wax. Once cooled, the figure is extracted, laid on the floor – and then melted down again. The cycle repeats, form and formlessness in constant flux.

Working across sculpture, performance, film, and textiles, Mag explores the body through materials in transition – tension, care, and repetition shaping her process.

Liste 30 is a wrap!
Our heartfelt thanks go to all the galleries and artists who made this edition so strong and inspiring — to the partners who supported our vision, and the media partners who helped bring it out into the world.

A huge thanks also goes to the entire team behind the scenes: from construction workers to security staff, from assistants to coordinators across all areas — it takes many hands to make a fair like this happen.

See you all next year:
15–21 June 2026

Yours truly,
Liste
