We are delighted to welcome Swiss Krautrock / Altpop outfit Jon Hood to the label !

Primrose is the name of this song by Jon Hood, and it is the first single from their upcoming album Pieces of Reality, their first LP since 2017. Like many songs from this collection, Primrose tells of transformation: the humble flower becoming music, and its metamorphosis serving as a mantra for the band.

So, while we were looking elsewhere, Jon Hood was out in the night, working on a sound that imagines silvery moonlight as a Stereolab-y disco, made of analogue drums and digital guitar, psychedelic manure, shining on the dewy meadows and awakening the evening primrose. It’s a perfect glimpse of what’s to come.
