Drukkunstbeurs 2025 • Day 2 Recap 🎉🖋️ Still buzzing from my first time exhibiting in Amersfoort, the Netherlands! SLiK Creative Studio’s booth featured works from my Walz training year 2024-25—including "Mein Morgenstern", a poetic book project from a german poet Christian Morgenstern.
I am very proud🤩 to present and unveiled: the first Baybayin Moveable Woodtypes 🌊—a typographic bridge betweenpre-colonial script and traditional letterpress.
So grateful for the inspiring exchanges with friends from Grafisch Atelier Hilversum. This weekend was more than an exhibit—it was a celebration of craft, connection, and continuity.

The next step is typesetting. For the "Amnesie" project, I used wooden types for the title, metal types for the body, and linotype for the impressum. The body is the poem of Jose Rizal, "Sa Aking mga Kabata," translated into German, that stresses the love of one's own language, and that no language is superior to another. During my stay in Typorama I was interviewed by the "Thurgauer Zeitung". One the major newspaer in north Switzerland (Thurgau region). For my project I used linocut for my background. Each Baybayin script got its own pattern. Then needs to measure, measure and measure to get the right alignment.

Patience is the key to success.

Another productive weekend in Mosbach.
Finished the second card. Elements are created with brass and linocut elements and printed in a Heidelberg Tiegel.
Watch out for the final result.

Last weekend I attended the opening of the book exhibition at the Morgenstern Museum in Werder (Havel), near Potsdam.

This is a handcrafted book, from paper creation to binding. A two-year project initiated by the Association of the Black Arts ().That is why being part of the project is a great honor.
