Gling gling, crack, tac tac tac tac tac, brbbbbrrrrrrbrbrbrbrbrrrr...
For 125 years, these sounds have been emanating from this double-cab machine as it climbs up and down the city. They accompany the steps and the few minutes of waiting that lead from high to low, building up the pressure at full speed and the excitement of arriving—into another Fribourg, a little older or a little newer than the other.
Several of Fribourg’s cultural organizations have joined forces to offer this special compilation to celebrate the 125th anniversary of Fribourg’s famous Funiculaire. With the participation of 8 talented artists or groups from the city, a compilation of various titles offers a musical entertainment illustrating the funicular journey and the historical atmosphere of its setting, in a contemporary spirit.
