Frédéric Post is a visual artist and a key figure in Geneva’s nightlife scene. He is the founder of the music label «Miracol» and the inventor of its unique glue-based record production method. He is known beyond Europe for his parties at Motel Campo, as well as his musical programming during the Mos Espa festival.
Frédéric Post has long been an advocate for the recognition of alternative and self-managed environments. A committed entrepreneur, he takes a critical stance towards events, their consumption patterns, and the very definitions of celebration. Playing with established codes and trends, he co-programmed the «Mezzo Cielo» festival on the institution’s rooftop during his residency at the Swiss Institute in Rome. He has never assisted Gianni Motti in a marathon, but he does hold a world record for the longest drawing on paper.
Founder of numerous collectives, he worked to create the workshops at the Kugler factory, the Grand Council of the Night, the workshops at the Creative Laboratory (Motel Campo), and the BIG Biennale. At Boabooks, he presents graphic and aesthetic reinterpretations, magical and dreamlike objects, all of which are references to a local history of raves and explorations spanning several generations.
