“You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending.”

🤍🤍🤍

A dear family friend shared this quote, and I knew I had to share it. For me, this is the part of forgiveness, compassion, healing, and moving forward that tends to be get left out.

It’s not just about acceptance of the past. It is also about starting again where you are, with what you have in front of you.

It’s about taking the experience with you, in that it gave many lessons to you as well.

It’s also about knowing how an experience can define you, or a time in your life. And also, how one experience doesn’t define you either.

Many times, the work of integration is realizing the wholeness and nothingness that exists simultaneously.

This can mean everything, and also, very little.

It can be who you are, and also, who you’re not.

It can be their problem, and also, a problem for you.

It can be a big ending, and also, a beginning.

It can be “the best of times” and also, “the worst of times.”

This reconciliation that is done throughout a lifetime is the work of integrating into this human (af) experience.

So as we wrap up this calendar year of 2020, what are you integrating over these next two weeks?

Remember, you can always decide your next move xx

12 Days of Service 💖

It’s that time of year 💝 when I do one of my favorite things...share 12 sessions to those who feel called to receive one ✨

These 12 spaces are available to the first 12 people who claim them. Comment or message me to inquire, and I’ll send you a link to schedule your session for a time that’s best for you.

You can also gift one to someone. Tag them below to invite them to message me.

A session is 30-minutes dedicated to the topic of your choosing. The intent is to give the space necessary for whatever it is you may want & need. Of course, they will be distance sessions offered via phone or video call, which means these sessions aren’t limited by location 🌎💫

Once the 12 sessions are filled, I will post an update, and let everyone know.

May the magic of this season give all our hearts much love and joy ❤️💌

Dream States ✨ Engaging with the work we’re called to do

I’d been having vivid dreams, yet I felt I was missing the meaning behind them, so I asked that my dreams show me purpose, and provide clearer guidance.

That first time I asked was yesterday.

And sure enough, I dreamt that I was attending a UN conference.

Then I woke up this morning to learn that it’s the beginning of to stand together against gender-based violence, which has devastatingly increased this year amongst confinement measures.

25 November marks the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. This sixteen days of activism and awareness continues until 10 December, the International Day of Human Rights 🌎🌍🌏

If you follow me here, I know you are driven to be of service, and give a voice to important issues that shape the world for the better.

So, this post is about connecting to the deep work you’re here to do, and feel called to. It’s about finding the causes that you want to participate it. It’s about deciding how we want to contribute in our lives and (global) community.

So in this light, I invite you to join me over the next two weeks and two days, to engage with an organization or cause that strongly resonates for you.

For additional resources regarding how to get involved over the next 16 days (and beyond), I recommend visiting unwomen.org

Our work isn’t done until all women are free.

2020 is a massive “pattern interrupt.”

Like many life-altering experiences, something-in-the-way-things-were ceases, and something different emerges and begins.

We’re at a point of time when we can assess what we want to keep doing, and also, what we no longer wish to do.

Keep this in mind as we go into an exceptional holiday season...one that may look different in many ways, and also, one that reminds us of the things that truly matter most.

Your choices matter. You get to choose—what celebrating, or not, feeling festive, or not—looks like for you.

So, here’s to acknowledging what we miss, being grateful for what we have...as we choose our traditions, and create our own rituals and ways of doing things.

Magic is still real. And you can always create your own magic 🤍 Anything else (interruptions included), is a way back to knowing what you’re capable of & what you’re here to experience

Xx

Show me all the love in this world 🤍

These days, my prayer is this: Show me all this love in the world.

Sometimes, it’s a phone call. Meeting someone new. Or seeing a heart as I move through my day.

It’s been the one commitment that brings me back to center: Show me the love in this world 🗺

What’s been the thing that brings you back to center this year?
