Almost a year ago the representative for the Attorney General’s Office and Kassie Coleman stood in a courtroom and all agreed a special prosecutor should be appointed to Christian’s case. All parties agreed there was evidence not presented to the grand jury. A year later there is still no special prosecutor. Everyone sits back and states they are no longer accountable. But aren’t they?? Just because their office acted inappropriately, or their own behavior caused them to appear biased should they be excused from ensuring Christian is provided the proper investigation and fair presentation to a grand jury?? Should they not be even more accountable due to their own admission that their offices failed Christian??

Saturday is the eight-year anniversary of Christian’s death. Eight years of a long fight which should not have been required if the District Attorney had done his job and later Kassie Coleman had made the decision to do the right thing. Eight years of a long fight which could have been much shorter if the Attorney General had acted ethically, and investigators had been competent and honest in their efforts. If investigators had been working to protect the victim not for the perpetrators.

Our goal this week is to remind Lynn Fitch and Kassie Coleman their duty to Christian is not exhausted. It is their obligation to review with Judge Wright his ruling to appoint a special prosecutor and to ensure this is done. We want to flood the AGO and the DA’s office with phone calls demanding action not fake gestures. Please take one minute to call the below numbers and ask for a special prosecutor to be appointed and for the AGO and DA to do their job!
