The Glacier of Altesch.

This imposing glacier of more than 20km long is a wonder of the Swiss Alps. The many 4000m high mountains next to it feed it constantly and offer a breathtaking view. We went to Moosfluh in the highlands of Riederalp to admire this sumptuous glacier. A one and a half hour walk from the village will take you to the viewpoint without any difficulty. The path is very accessible and does not require any particular physical condition. An outing to do without any pretext !

Furka pass.

This mythical pass of the Swiss Alps connects Oberwald to Andermatt.It is located at 2'429m of altitude and the road passes by the sumptuous Rhone glacier. The view is splendid and many very photogenic spots are present all along the road. A trip not to be missed.

Great meeting during our last hike.

In Switzerland, ibexes are a protected species and not hunted. It is therefore possible to approach them easily. In the case of this picture, they are even the ones who ran over us while we were following the path. An unforgettable moment that we are not ready to forget. Enjoy every moment that nature offers us!

Haute Cime, 3257m.

The highest summit of the Swiss Dents du Midi offers a 360° view on the Swiss and French Alps. Accessible from Salanfe or Susanfe, this summit is a very nice initiation to the high mountain. Rated T3, this trail is very popular during the summer.

Not very technical, this hike requires a good physical condition and a good equipment (no need to rope up). The trail is mainly composed of rocks which slows down the ascent.

From Grindelwald to Bachalpsee.

A beautiful hike of about 8km and 1200m of ascent will take you to the Bachalpsee. The ascent is quite demanding and will lead you through forests, rivers and magnificent panoramas on the surrounding 4000m.
The arrival at the lake is the reward of this walk.

You can also shorten this hike by taking the gondola that takes you to First. From there, it takes 45 minutes to get to the lake.

Ascent to the Salanfe's lake 🌲

From the Van d'en Haut campsite, it will take you about 1.5 hours to reach the Salanfe's lake. The walk, although demanding, is made up of green nature. Waterfalls, steep ladders and alpine landscapes accompany you on this hike. An outing not to be missed if you are visiting the region !
