"I spoke to an old friend recently.
Times we spent together in Milan, unforgettable moments in the fashion industry. Back when e-commerce was just beginning, he was THE MASTERMIND of the luxury fashion sector in Italy, the US and Switzerland. Prada, Gucci, Akris and many more… they were all his employers and later his clients.
He has now emigrated, and I asked him: ‘What are you doing now?’ He replied: ‘I’m becoming a poet.’ I said to him: ‘With that brain of yours?’ He answered: ‘My job will soon be completely taken over by AI. I think that in the future, only extraordinary creativity will still be rewarded.’
I still work with him and am still persuading him to take on the odd project here and there. Creativity combined with AI still goes wrong far too often.
Besides, he’s a real character. I love having special people around me. They inspire me; they make us feel truly alive. AI is everywhere, but those special people – the brains, the creative minds… they’re rare and that’s why they’re so valuable to us. They can create value for companies in the high-end sector that will make all the difference in the future.
I would always rather work with the one person out of 10,000 than save a bit of money. That is also why our clients come to us at . They know what can still make the difference today in the big data pool which is accessible for everyone."
