2025 finally exposed something we'd been hiding for years:
Bad leadership.

Not incompetence. Not lack of strategy.

The kind that looks good on paper but crumbles when people need actual guidance.

AI didn't create this problem. It just made it impossible to ignore.

I watched a VP delete an email three times last month.
Not because the content was wrong.
Because she couldn't tell if her team had used AI to write it and she didn't know if that mattered.
She finally sent it with: "Let me know if you have questions."
Translation: "I don't trust this, but I can't say that out loud."

Between May and July, trust in workplace AI dropped 31%.
But here's what the data missed:
People weren't losing trust in AI.
𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿.

2025 was the year we discovered that AI doesn't replace bad leaders.
𝗜𝘁 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺.

I just published my year-end analysis on what happened when artificial intelligence met actual leadership.

The hard truths:
→ We're creating people who can operate tools they don't understand
→ Speed without trust creates expensive chaos
→ Most "AI adoption" is performance theater covering leadership gaps

The most meaningful accomplishments often come from recognizing potential in others and helping them achieve what they once believed was out of reach.

No matter how educated, talented, rich, or cool you are, those achievements are mere window dressing. They reveal nothing about your true character.

How you treat people ultimately tells all. Your behavior toward those who can offer you nothing in return - staff, service workers, or strangers - is the truest barometer of your soul. Integrity is everything.

It's the silent commitment to decency, fairness, and respect that defines your worth far more than any title or bank account ever could.
