✨ Production has officially kicked off for our 2D animated short film Was Glitzert! ✨
It started this Monday in Bern at the beautiful Aggregat studio — and we’re lucky to have a super-duper amazing team on board!
We’re diving into several intense but exciting weeks of animation… and we can’t wait to share more with you soon! 💫⚡️💫

🎉 Hélium Films family at ITFS 2025 🎉

Switzerland is in the spotlight this year at ITFS Stuttgart — and we’re happy to be part of the lineup!

First of all, « Qui part à la chasse » / « Hunting » will have its international premiere at 17:30 on Friday, May 9 — director will be there, ready to chat and answer all your questions.

We will also be around all week for Animation Production Days with our 2D animated docu-series, C**A BOUDIN. You’ll find producer and co-director there to tell you all about it!

Wanna know more about our cozy little studio in Lausanne? Come hang out at our Studio Presentation on Friday, May 9, from 13:00 to 14:40 at the Veronika-Saal (Festival Center).

If you still don’t have enough Hélium in your day, you can swing by the « Sauvages » exhibition — also at the Festival Center — featuring real sets, props, and puppets straight from Claude Barras’ stop-motion world. The film will also hit the big screen on Sunday at 10:00 at Innenstadtkinos (Gloria 2).

And that’s not all — our dear co-worker Elie Chapuis, coordinator of the Sauvages exhibition, will also be serving on the jury for the Feature Films Competition.

Bonus moment: Wednesday at 14:00, Open Air Kino – screening of « Le Génie de la boîte de raviolis », for grown-ups and little ones alike. Don’t miss it!

ANIMATION INTERNSHIP (80%) FOR .ch

Hélium Films is offering a paid 2D animation internship for the upcoming short film « Was Glitzert », directed by Anna Lena Spring & Lara Perren. The internship starts in July 2025 and lasts 8 weeks, with production taking place in Bern.

🍓 “Join us in our pleasantly cool studio, where you’ll work on character animation, FX animation, clean-up, and coloring, while gaining insight into our workflow and the different stages of production. And for a refreshing break, you can even take an occasional swim in the Aare—just a three-minute walk away!
« Was Glitzert » is set on a vast lake and features four unique animal characters.”🍓

HOW TO APPLY

· A short text about yourself and your motivation.
· A small creative exercise: on the second slide of this post, you’ll find a sketch image of the four characters — Which animal would you be? Draw a new character sketch that fits the style of the film and represents you!
