La Bohemia 500 miles non sono solo 872km in 24 ore senza sapere dove vai fino quando arrivi al checkpoint successivo con un road book “fantasioso” e i quasi 2’000 per arrivare e tornare a casa.
Sono anche amicizie nate tra i (soli) 40 iscritti di quest’anno!
Miguel e Celine - che mi hanno conosciuto su Instagram e che sono venuti con me dalla Svizzera - Stefano - segretario del Genova chapter - e Gilles - francese di lunga data - conosciti al tavolo del bar con bel Würstel ceco e una birra prima della partenza - loro si fanno ogni singola 500 miglia ogni anno a dei ritmi “elevati”, per non dire altro, ed anche eventi simili che neanche conoscevo. Ci siamo conosciuti (Stefano e Gilles si conoscono ormai da anni) e l’abbiamo fatta insieme, perdendoci, discutendo sui road book in italiano, inglese e francese e ritrovando la strada.
É stato tutto molto bello ed i miei capelli ai vari checkpoint spiegano la fatica e lo stress nei vari momenti della giornata.

8’100 km of wet roads, coastal winds, and wild freedom.

From Lugano, to Dover, to the Highlands. Then Belfast backroads and along the edge of the Atlantic — I didn’t just ride the UK & Ireland.
I carved a line through it.

Castles, cliffs, whiskey towns, and ferry decks. Rain in my face, wind at my back, and that thunder under me.

The kind of ride that leaves scars on your soul — and mud on your boots.
I didn’t go for the postcard. I went for the ride.

UK & Ireland — you were fierce. And I’ll be back.

🎬 Scene mancanti dalla regia…

Dopo giorni di pioggia, sole, birre, chilometri e paesaggi da cartolina tra UK, Irlanda e Punta Bagna… sono finalmente tornato a casa.
E indovinate? Mi sono dimenticato il momento più sacro del viaggio:
📸 Il classico post sdraiato per terra, esausto, davanti alla porta di casa! 😂

Ormai è tradizione!
Solo che stavolta, tra una Guinness e una rotonda sbagliata a sinistra, mi sa che ho lasciato anche la memoria in viaggio…

Vabbè, ve lo lascio immaginare: io steso tipo frittella, con il casco ancora in testa e la moto che ronfa in garage. 🏍️💤
