What a great pleasure - we just finished a 2 day live recording job for the one and only Bänz Friedli. The dreamteam❤️ including director alex götz.

Live recording is always so much fun to capture the magic moments as it best.

Now, heading back to the studio to give the final touch to this beautiful production.

Big thanks to the local crew from hechtplatz, david, johnny and mathias - u guys are the heros.

This is not a job, this is my passion.
I love what i do.

Is it better to mix in 16bit or 24bit?

Sometimes i'm receiving tracks to mix in 16bit. Why this may not be the best resolution?
Here is a very short explanation. Each bit represents 6dB of dynamic range. So for a 16bit recording you will have 96dB of dynamic range and with 24bit recording 144dB of dynamic range.
This means that the bit depth gives you the dynamic range between your signal noise floor and 0dBFS.
In other words, a higher bit depth gives you less noise floor and more dynamic for your recording, which you should always look for.

Why is the arrangement for your music so important?
The very short answer, because it sounds better and this is what you are looking for.

If you are looking for a great wide three-dimensional sound, make sure you give some space for each instrument. Don't play too many notes, instead play the right notes. Keep an eye on the dynamic range of your song, so that your tracks can breathe and have an impact.
If you are a singer, make sure you are singing in the key of your comfort zone to get best sounding vocals.
