ESCIF was delighted to welcome 70 representatives from 14 countries to Comacchio, Italy, for our 2026 Congress on Active Ageing with Spinal Cord Injury. The Congress provided an excellent opportunity to learn, share experiences, build connections and strengthen collaboration across the European SCI community. Through presentations, workshops and discussion, delegates explored how we can better support people with spinal cord injury to age well and remain active participants in society. We would like to thank FAIP and the local organising committee for hosting such a successful event and for their warm Italian hospitality. During the Congress, we were also excited to announce that the 2027 ESCIF Congress will be hosted in Albania. We look forward to continuing these important conversations and seeing many of you there in person next year. We leave Comacchio with new knowledge, stronger partnerships and renewed determination to work together to improve the lives of people with spinal cord injury across Europe.
