PASSO SELLA ⛽ 🏁
My favourite pass in the Dolomites. This is the only one I pushed full tilt on because the conditions felt right to me.
One shot at a full blast run, having to pass cars and camper vans, restricted to half a road for many of the bends, and still finished up with the 2nd fastest time down. The only one anywhere near the top 10 without doing it in a race with closed roads - with names like Mohoric doing it in the Giro, and Nibali in the Maratona.
I almost never talk about times because it's a bit crass. I say all of the above to point out that what I've been doing the last few years is performing at a high level that very few have anything to reference it with. Some of you might think I just bomb hills mindlessly hoping for good luck around each corner. It took all 22 years of full time riding for a living, and many more growing up, to be able to do what you see here.
