Copenhagen Fashion Week 2025

Freshness, originality, and a necessary dose of rebellion. From 4 to 8 August, once again proved that fashion can be both wearable and sustainable without losing its editorial edge.

Here are six shows that stood out this season:

Cecilie Bahnsen – Relaxed couture meets Scandinavian romance, timeless pieces for the modern wardrobe.

Deadwood – Reclaimed leather, vegan cactus leather, and post-apocalyptic optimism.

IAMISIGO – African craftsmanship, endangered techniques revived, and regenerative fashion with a story to tell.

MKDT Studio – Impeccable tailoring in natural fabrics, understated yet unforgettable.

Rolf Ekroth – Inclusive, genderless punk that sets trends rather than following them.

Anne Sofie Madsen – Garments as living sculptures, balancing strength and delicacy.

In Copenhagen, authenticity and sustainability are not trends – they are the runway itself.

Étoile of the Paris Opera. Discipline and freedom, precision and surrender.
In a Parisian studio—where else? we created this cover story with Hugo Marchand, the dancer who transforms every role into an act of revelation. An intimate, unguarded interview directed by our editor , in which he speaks about vulnerability, perfection, and the art of disappearing to become someone else.

Since being named étoile in 2017, Hugo has embodied princes, rebels, and tragic lovers, yet his gift is not merely in executing steps: it is pure presence. In this collaboration with , we explore not only the artist, but also the man who finds in cracks and imperfections the true heartbeat of dance.

“Layers that speak, movement that inspires.”

This editorial invites you to see style as more than clothing — it’s a conversation between attitude, body, and emotion.
With bringing depth and energy to every frame, we explored the delicate tension between revealing and concealing, creating a visual rhythm that feels both intimate and bold.

“You Are Unlike Anything I Know”
A visual exploration of layers, movement, and attitude.

We had the pleasure of working with the talented model on this cover story, which plays with the art of dressing — and un******ng — as a form of style and self-expression.

THEATRICAL IMPULSE

This digital editorial emerges from a subtle yet powerful theatrical urge: a borrowed stage setting, costumes reminiscent of paper dolls, and an atmosphere so vivid it becomes a character in itself. Captured entirely on 120mm film, with negatives hand-painted to reveal what lies beneath the surface. This is not a performance, but a frozen instant—like a dream caught mid-thought. Imperfection is embraced—the props, costumes, and weathered, haunted backdrops—all contributing to the raw emotion that defines the work.

Presenting The Gucci Portrait Series the Fall Winter 2025 campaign, captured through the iconic lens of Catherine Opie. Forty-two voices, generations, and perspectives intertwine in a collective portrait where clothing becomes a language of identity. With an intimate and authentic aesthetic, the campaign explores how attitude, posture, and movement reveal more than style: they reveal who we are. Through a series of stills and candid films directed by Lisa Rovner, Gucci reaffirms its legacy of sprezzatura — that distinctly Italian, effortless elegance — as a bridge between past, present, and future. An invitation to look again, not only at the garments, but at those who inhabit them.

THEATRICAL IMPULSE

A series born from a quiet, theatrical impulse: a borrowed stage, paper-doll-like costumes, and an atmosphere that becomes its own character. Shot entirely on 120mm film, with hand-painted negatives to give shape to the invisible. This isn’t a play—it’s a suspended moment, like a dream paused mid-sentence. Nothing is perfect—the props, the costumes, the scratched and haunted backdrops—because everything is part of the emotion.

“is the counterpart of being a moto or a horse”
A boot hangs from his neck like a signal.
Is he the rider—or the untamed force itself?
Flesh or engine?
The studio doesn’t contain—it exposes:
the tension between the wild and the constructed,
between living pulse and roaring steel.
A body that won’t be explained.
An image that won’t obey.

For fall 2025, Saint Laurent presents VELVET HEAT, the new pre-collection designed by Anthony Vaccarello.

Starring Kate Moss in Los Angeles, the campaign captures the essence of the season: freedom, sensuality, and timeless style.
A silk skirt, a leather blouson, a man’s jacket worn on bare skin. Dark sunglasses, sunlight, and attitude.
No script. No set. Just real, spontaneous moments.
Alongside Chloë Sevigny and Frankie Rayder, Kate stands at the centre of a story about friendship and authenticity.

“is the counterpart of being a moto or a horse”
There is tension between muscle and machine.
Between the breathing beast and the roaring engine.
A body offered to the edge,
dressed in Miu Miu, like one who arms themselves with contradiction.
There is no taming possible.
Only the pulse between the wild and the artificial,
between steel and skin.
A horse in the studio.
A model who doesn’t follow the line.
An image that cannot be explained—
only felt.

Franco-Swiss actor .metzger returns in a vivid new cover story, this time immersed in a world inspired by Yayoi Kusama’s iconic Polka Dots series—where repetition becomes identity, and the infinite becomes intimate. Through dots, Kusama explores both presence and dissolution, and so does Cyril in this arresting visual dialogue.

In a powerful continuation of his artistic journey, Metzger embodies the tension between control and chaos, structure and spontaneity—echoing Kusama’s meditative, obsessive language of form. His performance is not just seen, but felt—as if the space itself pulses with introspection.

Once again in conversation with our editor .tische, Cyril opens up about embracing artistic risk, how pattern can become philosophy, and why vulnerability remains his most trusted compass.

INSPIRED BY POLKA DOTS SERIES BY YAYOI KUSAMA
This image is a tribute to Yayoi Kusama’s Polka Dots—a visual language of self-erasure and self-assertion. Through her hypnotic repetition, Kusama invites us to lose ourselves and find something deeper in return.
