Grindelwald, located at the foot of the famous Eiger Northface, has been on our bucket list for a while now. Finally we got the chance to stay for a weekend at this stunning mountain village in the Swiss Alps.

Spoiled with some amazing weather, we hopped on a gondola up to First, walked the frightening Cliff Walk and took a short hike to the insta famous Lake Bachalp. Was it worth it? Well come and have a look :).

How we got down again? Well, as we found out, taking a gondola isn`t your only choice at First. So if Zip Lining, cruising down on a little cart and finishing on a Trotti Bike sounds like fun to you, come and join us for the wild ride ;)

And, of course, we managed to find a cute little Cafe in a quieter area of Grindelwald, the Cafe 3692.

In May 2021, we left Zurich for another weekend getaway in the Swiss Alps.
This time, we visited Laax, a small village in the Canton of the Grisons, mainly known for its great skiing possibilities during winter and for some scenic hikes during the warmer months.

Lake Cauma, a turquoise lake near Laax, is one of the main attractions in the area, so we took a scenic hike to see it with our own eyes.

As our accommodation, we chose to stay at the Rocks Resort Laax and enjoyed a lovely stay at one of their 2 bedroom apartments.

Welcome back to another food based video from our home town of Zurich, Switzerland.

With lockdown still in place at the beginning of 2021, we had to get a little creative with the places we could go, but of course this didn`t stop us from eating all the delicious food that Zurich has to offer.

After spending the night in a former monastic cell at the Monastery in Fischingen, we went on a scenic hike, called the "Tannenzapfenweg".

Never having been to the Canton of Thurgau before, we once more got surprised of how awesome the Swiss countryside ist. On top of that we got spoiled with a picture perfect day and enjoyed our day in nature to the fullest.

Switzerland just never disappoints :)

In 2021, we discovered the joys of "Staycations" and spent one night in our own backyard, in an old Benedictine Monastery, to be precise.

Located in quiet Fischingen in the Canton of Thurgau, you can find "Kloster Fischingen", an old monastery, that was turned into a modern hotel.

And not only can you stay overnight, you are also spoiled with a regional 3 course dinner and breakfast the next morning.

Oh, and don`t miss out on the locally brewed beers they offer ;)

Valentines Day 2021 is here and not much has changed since the pandemic hit last year. All restaurants in Zurich are closed and we are still living in some kind of a Lockdown.

But, thanks to some creative minds in the restaurant business, that doesn`t mean you have to do without your annual brunch, as there are plenty of take away options available. You just have to choose which offer you like best.

We decided to order from Mr. Samigo, as they had some rather fancy brunch items on offer, so come and join us for brunch ;)

Even though we didn`t complete an entire month of "Veganuary", we are still proud that we at least finished seven full days of it.

And we can confirm, we ate a lot of great food and did better than we thought we would (especially Brian ;)).

For the last two days of our challenge, Pucki prepared some delicious vegan French Toast and we ended the week with some vegan Hot Dogs.

In continuation of our "Veganuary Week" we decided to spice things up a little with one of our favorite dishes, that just happens to be vegan - a wonderful heartwarming South Indian Vegetable Curry.

It is Day 3 on our vegan week and "Flockdown 2021" has made its appearance - for more about that visit :)

So while we are out on the hunt for some more vegan dishes we are also enjoying kind of a "Winter Wonderland" in a snowy Zurich.

For lunch we'll make a stop at Gnädinger, a well known bakery with a wide array of vegan options and get our hands on a CHICKPEA EGG sandwich. Well... let`s call that an interesting one... ;)

After this interesting sandwich experience, we needed some soul food to brighten the mood. :) And we know just the place to find that! For dinner we picked up some some tasty rice and Dal from "The Coconut" - a small South Indian take-away restaurant. This is truly a hidden gem in Zurich.

And we can tell you, this left us very satisfied and happy.

Day 2 of our vegan challenge has begun and we are glad to report that we had a healthy start to the day ;)

Veganuary - Can we do it?

It's January 2021 and as most of the world we are in some form of a lockdown. Traveling around the world isn't an option, so could there be a better time for a challenge?

Neither of us are actually vegan - so this will definitely be very interesting for both of us. While Pucki has been living a mostly vegetarian lifestyle for the past years, Brian, on the other hand, is a big meat lover.

Have you ever wondered what Two Hungry Travelers do when they can't travel?

Just like probably most of you, we had big plans for 2020.
After all there are still so many places left to see and so much food left to try. But - 2020 put a hold on that. So instead of traveling the world looking for new exciting adventures and great food, we stayed in our home country of Switzerland. In our hometown of Zurich to be precise.

In this video we invite you to join us while we explore our home town and show you some of our personal favorite places to eat in the Zurich, Switzerland.

However we won't be visiting the "typical Swiss" restaurants - this video will be more of an American food tour.
