Sal Nurrito has just released his new album "The Story so Close". A summary of his creative work from the last 7 years including the new single "Rain" - a romantic song for rainy days. On this album, soulful numbers like the ballad "Coming Home Tonight", known from Radio Swisspop, meet melodic midtempo songs like "Floating Into Space" and "Everlasting Circle" or the "Rock'n'Roll Tonight", which is also often played by radios, with rockier songs like "Flying High" and "When Evening Comes". Then the journey continues, via New Wave-inspired numbers à la The Cure "Lost in Paradise" or the somewhat p***y "Coming Back to You", via a rocking "Midnight Tango" to the dance song "Tutta la notte". Almost every musical taste is catered for here.
The whole thing is characterised by Sal Nurrito's warm, charismatic voice, driving basslines, slamming guitars, dreamy keyboard sounds and groovy drums. With the gloomy "Where do we go from here" and the ballad "A better Place", two anti-war songs are also included.
