Zurich is boring, they said…😏

Meanwhile, once a year, 4,500 people jump into the Limmat and swim through the heart of the city 🏊‍♀️

Today marked the 60th Limmatschwimmen, a beloved Zurich summer tradition where a section of the Limmat normally closed to swimming because of navigation is opened for the event 🏊‍♀️☀️🦆

The route takes swimmers past Zurich’s Old Town, churches and landmarks before finishing at Oberer Letten 🏁

I didn’t manage to get one of the 4,500 spots this year… 🥲
So, apparently, I have a date with the Limmat next summer

If someone asked me where to spend a weekend in Switzerland, Lugano would always be near the top of my list🇨🇭✨

If you only had one weekend in Lugano, this is how I’d spend it 📌

From lakeside strolls and hidden viewpoints to charming villages, mountain panoramas and one of my favourite apero spots in Ticino, Lugano is one of those places I never get tired of coming back to ✨

A little piece of Switzerland 🇨🇭Wherever the journey leads

Some travel memories begin long before you reach your destination 🌊

For me, they begin at the station.

There’s something about watching the departure board, hearing the trains arrive, and feeling that quiet excitement just before setting off.

Growing up in Switzerland, has always been part of those moments. Its iconic railway clock has accompanied countless departures, making it a familiar symbol of travel, precision, and home.

So bringing that same design with me on this journey felt surprisingly fitting.

A small reminder that wherever we travel, we often carry a little piece of home with us 🫶
