TANTITA, TOMBRASKI EMPOWER 20 DELTA WIDOWS WITH ₦20 MILLION TO BOOST LIVELIHOODS

Twenty widows from TUOMO, AYAMASA, OGBOSUWARE, FOUTORUGBEN and BOMADI communities in Bomadi Local Government Area of Delta State have received ₦20 million in financial support under the Tantita/Tombraski Widows Empowerment Project. Each beneficiary was presented with ₦1 million during a ceremony held at the Tantita Base in Bomadi on Tuesday, July 7, 2026.

Speaking on behalf of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, Community Relations Manager Pastor Seimode Akposafagha Benedict said the initiative forms part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility programme aimed at improving the welfare of vulnerable members of its host communities. He urged the widows to invest the funds wisely in sustainable businesses, maintain proper financial records and use the support to build lasting sources of income.

The beneficiaries expressed gratitude to Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited and Tombraski Security Company for the timely intervention, pledging to use the funds to improve their businesses and support their families. The empowerment programme reflects Tantita’s continued commitment to promoting community development, economic empowerment and sustainable livelihoods across the Niger Delta.

YOUR EXCELLENCY,

I would like to sincerely commend you for your remarkable efforts in improving transportation across Delta State through the provision of buses and electric vehicles. These initiatives have made commuting easier, more affordable, and more convenient for many residents. Your commitment to enhancing public transportation is truly appreciated.

However, I would like to humbly appeal for your attention to another important group of citizens—those living in riverine communities. Many of these communities have no road access and rely solely on waterways and boats as their only means of transportation.

Just as buses and electric vehicles have been provided to support those who travel by road, I kindly urge your administration to consider providing safe and accessible boats for these riverine communities. This would help subsidize transportation costs, improve mobility, increase access to healthcare, education, and economic opportunities, and ensure that no community is left behind.

An inclusive transportation system should cater to both road and waterway users. Such an initiative would further demonstrate your commitment to equitable development and the welfare of every Deltan, regardless of where they live.

Thank you for your continued service to the people of Delta State. May God grant you wisdom and strength as you continue to lead the state toward greater progress.
