Switzerland.Attention, fraud! This bill is definitely not something you should pay.Scammers are constantly coming up with new strategies to get money out of their victims' pockets. The Swiss crime prevention service is now issuing a warning about an alleged bill from Serafe. If someone does not pay the Serafe fee correctly and on time, they may soon fall victim to fraudsters. As the Swiss Crime Prevention Agency (Schweizerische Kriminalprävention SKP) warns, fake invoices are currently being sent.Instead of the Swiss radio and television license fee collection center, the invoices come from fraudsters.Anyone who pays for them is giving their money to criminals. In fact,it is easy to recognize that it is a scam.Instead of "Serafe" in the sender's name there is "Searfe" - a typo that can have unpleasant consequences if not noticed. Therefore, SKP draws attention to the scam on Facebook. "Attention! Pay close attention to the senders of invoices," we read in the post. "In the hustle and bustle of everyday life,it's easy to miss something like this. This is exactly what they (fraudsters) are trying to achieve."According to SKP,victims of fraud should not be ashamed, but should notify the police. "Although recovery of lost money is unlikely in many cases of fraud (especially online), it should be reported to the police," says the SKP website. The same applies to fraud attempts, which will be recognized in time. In addition, it is recommended to inform the bank immediately,as in some cases money transfers may be stopped.SKP also advises you to talk openly about fraud in your personal environment. "This will warn friends and relatives not to fall for the scam."
