New single "Lily got no Sleep" out today by 🌈 go have a listen, link in bio!

One of those days when nothing seems to work out turns into one of those weeks: “Lily” feels stuck. Though long since a grown-up, she finds herself vulnerable as a child again. Haunted by insomnia, smoking one cigarette after another. Tiziana Greco (voc, git) lends her words to that experience. Those who listen may empathize and find comfort.
The song serves as a would-be accompaniment to a tumbleweed being blown along sandy streets through vacant villages. The beat by Aline Stadler (drums) drags along, while Beda Mächler (guitar) and Mirko Geiger (bass) endure the emptiness, only filling it occasionally.

Singer, producer and violinist releases today the album "Closure" after a three year long process of recording, writing and producing!

"If you could imagine the love affair between the lush, explosive earthiness of a tropical jungle and the vast heavens above it, perpetually animated by a rich choreography of cloud formations, as sound – you would arrive at the musical essence of Kate Birch. On the one hand, primal, earthbound, rooted, rustic, and teeming with life, chromatic! But then also, weightless, effervescent, delicate, free. Ascension – a force reaching for the 'beyond’."

New Single: Physical Spell ✨️

With his current single "Physical Spell" , he is releasing new music exactly six months after his debut EP "Glad Day". In contrast to "Glad Day", Findling swaps the intimate setting of his home recordings for a classic band line-up (drums, bass, piano, organ & lots of guitars) With its harmonies and tempo changes, "Physical Spell" is reminiscent of the lively Lemon Twigs or the psychedelic folk of Jonathan Wilson and makes full use of an early 70s aesthetic. After a short folk guitar introduction, the tempo suddenly picks up and the band falls into an airy funk - which immediately collapses again. Later, the tempo slows down even more abruptly, into a psychedelic swamp, the synths whistle and howl.

To coincide with this release, Beda Findling will play his first concert dates with his new band in May 2024. He will be accompanied by Fiona Fisaco (Fiona Fiasco, Mel D), Lucien Badoux (Mord Fuzztang) and Linus Gmünder (To Athena, Soybomb).

It is with these words—landing like a glass of cold water on your face, no less—that Swiss Art Pop songstress Kate Birch kicks off the eclectic, untamed melange of 'Think About,' her latest single. As audacious as this statement might appear, if you’re actually following what’s going on around the world, it’s a rather reasonable response. Because the truth is, to be aware of your privileges is to recognize your agency and the resources at your disposal, which you could, if you so choose, apply to making this place a pinch better for us all.

Nick Furrer aka with the Neubad EP. Listen via Linktree!
For his residency in the cultural centre Neubad he returned to his hometown of Lucerne. A simultaneous collaboration with the online-magazine Kultz allowed him to welcome guest musicians with whom he further developed instrumentals he created during the lockdown. These have now found a home in the Neubad EP.

In “Missing Our Moon” Haubi reconnects with himself. The driving beat pushes him out into the Feldberg-street in Kleinbasel, where the bassline drops just in time to save him from himself. What comes after our self-optimisation? When we’re fully in tune with ourselves, what’s missing from that tune? The Neubad EP stands at the end of the creative phase leading to his last album 100 Siite Heartbreak and at the beginning of a new Haubi Songs era, which is already in full swing.

For a residency at Kulturzentrum Neubad, Haubi returned to his hometown of Lucerne. The collaboration with the online magazine Kultz enabled a welcoming of guest musicians with whom he with whom he developed instrumentals from the further developed. In the Neubad EP, they find a home together.
"RR" sounds refreshingly biting. The critical view of the present also falls on the post-pandemic Haubi-Self. The result is a mini anthem for the disoriented, a tribute to the river of life, the Reuss and the Rhine. Vocal samples by Cori Nora immerse this half-song in a new color palette. "RR" is the first track from the upcoming Neubad EP, which will be released in April on Red Brick Records.
