From the spring semester of 2026, Lorenza Borrani will teach the main subject of chamber music at ZHdK Zürcher Hochschule der Künste 🌟
As concertmaster of the Chamber Orchestra of Europe and founding member of Spira mirabilis Florentine, Lorenza Borrani performs as a conductor, director, soloist, and chamber musician in the most important concert halls and concert seasons as well as at international chamber music festivals worldwide. She teaches violin and chamber music at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole and has been a visiting professor at the Royal Academy of Music in London since 2019.

Fabian Ziegler setzt auf Musik, die Grenzen überwindet 👉🏻 JAZZTIME bringt in der aktuellen Ausgabe ein ausführliches Porträt über den Alumnus der ZHdK Zürcher Hochschule der Künste. Er hat die Master Specialized Music Performance und Music Pedagogy bei Klaus Schwärzler , Benjamin Forster und Raphael Christen absolviert.
Fabian Ziegler hat sich der zeitgenössischen Schlagzeugmusik verschrieben. "Mein Ziel ist es, die Schlagzeugaufführung durch originelle Projekte mit führenden Komponisten weltweit auf ein neues Niveau zu heben." - so Ziegler in JazzTime.

Wojtek Chałupka wins the Krzysztof Penderecki International Composers' Competition and the audience prize with his work ‘Chiaroscuro’ 🌟 Another award in the long list of achievements of the young saxophonist and composer. 👉🏻 With the saxophone as main subject he completed his Bachelor's degree in music as an exchange student with Lars Mlekusch and is currently enrolled in the Master's programme in Composition at ZHdK Zürcher Hochschule der Künste.

Trio Colores wins Opus Klassik Award 🌟OPUS KLASSIK has awarded TrioColores the Opus Klassik Prize in the category ‘Classical Music Without Borders’ for their debut album ‘EnCouleur’. 👉🏻 The multi-award-winning trio consists of alumni Matthias Kessler, Luca Staffelbach and Fabian Ziegler, who studied percussion with Klaus Schwärzler, Benjamin Forster and Raphael Christen at ZHdK Zürcher Hochschule der Künste.

Zoë Guldimann erhält den Förderpreis des Kantons Solothurn 🌟 Das Kuratorium schreibt in seiner Begründung: "Mit tiefgründigen Texten und einer eindrücklichen musikalischen Reife hat sich ZOEY als eine der vielversprechendsten Newcomerinnen der Schweizer Musikszene etabliert." Elena Dietrich wins second prize at Elvirissima - Junge Stimmen 2025 🌟 No first prize was awarded. The competition of the Elvira-Lüthi-Wegmann-Stiftung is aimed at young singers.
👉🏻 Dietrich is studying for a master's degree in Music Pedagogy with Sarah Wegener at ZHdK Zürcher Hochschule der Künste. She notes: "I would like to thank the entire jury and all other participants for a constructive and welcoming atmosphere in the competition and am delighted to have received this award!"
