I drink my coffee ☕ sitting on a armchair, inside the courtyard of a freshly renovated XV century roman palace; above me a skylight that diffuses the morning rays of the Roman sun; next to me a fountain and a marble sign of ancient Roman origin; these are two of the "stones" that compose the family collection and give identity and soul to a place born to be called "home" by beauty chasers who are away from home.

"Ondine" is composed of a mixture of stabilized white and golden ruscus leaves, each one ensembled by hand. 🙌 It's inspired by the famous opera by Jean Giraudoux, in which Ondine is the female protagonist, spirit of the water element.

The 100% artisanal parisian brand is a beautiful sample of what I call "cultural luxury" reality. ✨ A young, small, high quality brand which not only produces and sells products, yet in every single piece, every detail hides a riot of stories, including the one of the creator and artisan herself, Lauranne, who broke the patterns of a life that did not belong to her to bring childhood dreams to light! 👏 Look what's the result of pursuing your own journey!

A couple of weeks ago we took this beautiful glimpse of nature home from a Sunday walk. 🌸 Thanks and for letting me know in the stories that it was a wonderful sample of wild rhododendron!

This wonder, in its delicacy, lasted more than two weeks into the crystal vase above the fireplace, where we had placed it. 🙌
Symbol of gentle resistance. Stronger than expected!

While I was shooting, it was warm enough to take a coffee break outdoor, stretching my arms and legs, breathing the immaculate air of this corner of Earth, which lead me to discover a little snail. 🐌 It kindly granted me the honor of appearing in the foreground of the picture.

The snail, a symbol of adaptability and, above all, a symbol of slow life, the life that the current situation has taught us to accept, the only life that allows to fully live the present, observing and enjoying small things, mindfully.

There’s nothing like the smell of an Apple Pie baking in your oven.

This goodie has warmed up the atmosphere of one of our quarantine days, as a tiny gesture of familiar love. ♥

This Apple Pie is the lightest and the most delicious that your could ever bake! No lie!

🍎Why you should keep an apple pie simple?

There are so many wonderful recipes to make Apple Pie, since we all love it! What happens sometimes is that the use of too many ingredients may not properly enhance the genuine flavour of the Apples, and would make it more complicated than how it is! This Light Water-based Apple recipe is intended to be an easier, lighter version with all the delicious taste but without all the accessory ingredients. Less is more, and this recipe is the edible prove!

Ps: I improvised a home-styled shooting set for this cake, with the help of a self-made-with-random-objects tripod (both mine are stuck in Milan!), I enjoyed it so much! Let me know your opinions!

▶Magic ingredients
- 250g Integral Flour
- 60g any Starch
- 170g Brown Sugar
- 200ml Water 💦
- 70ml Olive or Seeds Oil
- 1 Big Bio Lemon 🍋
- 1 Packet of Baking Powder
- Vanilla (Raw Minced is healthier!)
- Salt
- Use a 20cm Ø springform pan

▶MAKING OF
Make sure you follow this exact order for the perfect magic!
- Mix in a bowl the flour, starch, abundant lemon skin and sugar (leave some sugar aside for the final garnish!), add some salt.
- Add the water, the juice of a lemon and the oil (leaving some aside too!)
- Warm up the fan oven to 160°
- Cut the apples into cubes + one into beautiful slices for the surface layer (Aesthetics matters! You’ll not regret!)
- Add the baking powder and the raw vanilla
- Alternate batter and cube apples in two layers. After the last layer of batter, arrange the apple cut into slices beauuuutifully.
- Add the remaining oil and sugar on top.
- Bake for a minimum of 45min. After 45min check if cooked every ten mten minutes with a toothpick!
- Once it’s ready, let it rest till cold

Dear Italy. Dear home.
I miss your beauty, so much.

From afar, I imagine your sunsets, your crowded streets and squares.
The smell of freshly baked bread, from the windows.
The heat of your sun in the middle of winter.
I imagine your fields that are slowly getting colored in March, in which I'd love to dive.
I miss your authenticity.
I imagine the thousand stories that every corner, every wall, of the smallest of your towns and villages can tell.
I miss admiring your treasures, which witness your unique story.
I miss discovering you, flattering you, and then telling the rest of the world how incredible you are, and how proud I am to be part of you.

You are beautiful, dear Italy. And now more than ever, you are really realizing it.
But when this nightmare is over, you have to promise me one thing: that you will not forget.
That you won't make this moment vain.

You must promise me that you will run to embrace, to love, to thank; you must promise me that you will learn, that you will finally be able to distinguish what matters in this life, that you will look in the mirror and feel immensely grateful for what you are and for what you have!
Promise me that you will chase the present and you will treasure all this to wake up every day a little better, a little more conscious and aware.
You will look at yourself and realize how great your strength, your energy, your beauty is; a beauty so charged, so overwhelmed with value, history, infinite courage and much, much LOVE!

A tropical nest in the center of Florence makes me want to grab a ticket and jump on a plane RIGHT NOW! 🌴 Missing those exotic vibes that reconnect you with life itself and mother nature, opening your eyes on the real values we should always pursue!

Four luxury suites, a common area that includes the entrance, the living room and a dining room where Mara and Veronica serve personally a healthy and genuine breakfast to guests every morning, as if they were family friends. This thing of the role playing and shooting self portraits it's being so addictive lately! 🙌 It's giving be the incredible chance to travel almost full-time and meet the most extraordinary people and realities!
Since I finally reached the state of freelancer and digital wonderer (after the last 6 years of studying and office work), it's been like a flow of creativity and excitement for what's coming!
I put down on paper some points that I really want to achieve daily in this brand new lifestyle; among the first positions there are "stop postponing your personal projects", "nourish creativity and enthusiasm", "learn as much as you can" 💚
The uncertainty of this new creativity-based path honestly thrills me more than every perfect planned path!
Feeling so grateful for the chance I had to turn my life upside down..in the end is always a matter of priorities!

You keep hearing me talking about the concept of "cultural luxury", that "beauty lies in authenticity", that luxury does not necessarily identify with economic value nor level of fame and much more blah, blah, blah, I will repeat it again and again until this platform will blow, in an infinite loop, as I believe that it is one of the concepts that would bring a whole new consciousness and perspective through which to look at the realities around us and life itself! 🙌
is one of the most concrete examples of this concept.
I'm the number 1 fan of Velona's since the day I met them, fan of Veronica and Mara, the two owners, cousins, who have put together their own family story, and turned it into a reality capable of inspiring anyone who is open to reading it!
Velona's Jungle has not always been a Boutique Hotel, it actually was the grandfather's home, where Veronica and Mara spent countless Christmases, happy days, memories of such a precious childhood, that they could not let it go without honoring it and give it such a great purpose.
Mara and Veronica's grandfather was a visionary globetrotter; the objects of his stories are now part of the furniture of the Velona's Jungle, carefully studied down to the smallest detail; the combination of fabrics, pieces of art, antiquities and works of contemporary artists, create a union that gives individuality and balance between tradition and innovation; and everything is wrapped in an incredible China blue, which is currently one of my favourite colours!💙
The home of a grandfather who had so much to teach: the value of travel, discovery, open-mindedness, the beauty of culture, interest in details, curiosity and unconditional love applied to any moment of life.

This is how it always starts at ☕
A cappuccino with the most mouth-watering foam, and almond Tuscan cantucci from the corner bakery; everything is served on the living room tea-table, right in front of the ancient tower from the old walls of Florence, on a rigorously service (Antico Collection, to be precise).

By now, if you've been following this feed for a while, you know that for me there is no Florence without Velona's Jungle, without the long chats with Veronica and Mara, for new updates about our lives and growth, which sound much like a family repatriate.. because that's how it feels: family. Those two amazing girls know more about me and my adventurous life than many others folks I meet every day!

"Luxury lies in authenticity" this is what I try to transmit daily on this platform, and in authenticity history, beauty, care, culture, growth, experience are generated. 🙌

In my conception of "luxury" I am in countertendency; I will not talk about excesses, nor about ostentation, nor about appearances; I will not talk about fame, trends, gold and sparkles.

I will talk about love, family, research, identity, history and the most important ingredient: humanity.
