"how Music is politcal" (held in English)
In line with the festival, we organize a panel on the political dimension of DJing, music selection, the music industry, and nightlife. Every music selection is made within particular social, cultural and economic conditions. This panel asks how DJing can become a political practice: What does it mean to choose one track over another? Which histories, communities and economies are we connected to when we play music? And what responsibilities emerge from the spaces we create through sound?

Chantelle: Body Music is an experimental sonic exploration of sensuality, born in 2012 at an underground radio station in NJ, USA. Body Music has graced the radio waves in 3 countries, moving to Milan before finding a home at Radio Lora in Zürich. In sets on and off the radio, Body Music challenges you to forget about genre and lose yourself in soul to the skin.
IMSOBABY: (they/them) is a q***r black multidisciplinary artist, curator and DJ. Born and raised in France and of congolese descent. Currently based in Geneva. Their interest in music alike as their artistic practice is based in the celebration of their identity and environment. Their ambitions are to create more space for their community to be safe, to celebrated and to just exist.
HAUSVRAU: HAUSVRAU is a trans, non-binary Brazilian artist and activist with a diverse background and a desire to bring people together. As well as her career as a dancer and her experience as a painter, HAUSVRAU is also a DJ, musician, model, drag performer and, overall, a multidisciplinary artist. She is a co-founder of the q***r party label FAGDOM and a co-initiator of the Trans Safety Emergency Fund.
Jasmina Serag aka Aunty: With her band Sirens Of Le**os, Jasmina Serag has given the pop of Bern a voice so powerful that even the international climate resonates with it. As a DJ, too, Jasmina has created a buzz that shows no sign of dying down.
