Episode #636 of Plazmatic Sessions picks up the thread again — this time featuring Tom Welling.
Tom moves through the underground with two decades of experience, but his path has never been linear. He began with raw vinyl sessions, later trading needles for machines and building performance setups where hardware reacts almost as fast as his ideas. The result: a sound that slips between minimal and techno, stripped-back yet charged.
His focus on sound design and synthesis eventually led to miniMahlzeit in 2016, a label that carved a darker minimal techno space in the Netherlands and framed his identity as both DJ and producer. When the post-COVID shift pushed the scene in another direction, Tom stepped offstage and into the studio, choosing silence, research, and slow-burning creation over keeping pace. Now, he’s shaping what comes next.
