Fashion took center stage in the blooming gardens of Giardino Ascona ✨

Last month, artist and designer Ginny Litscher unveiled her new collection during the first-ever fashion show at Giardino Ascona, the five-star retreat located in the Mediterranean-inspired beauty of Ticino, Switzerland.

The idea for this unique open-air runway was initiated by Marketing & PR Manager Philipp Hendelkes, who envisioned the perfect harmony between fashion and the hotel’s lush natural setting. Guests were welcomed by General Manager Wolfram Merkert and immersed in an unforgettable evening set to the elegant, upbeat sounds of DJ Werner Zweifel.

With creative direction by Yannick Aellen of Mode Suisse, the event blended haute couture with hospitality, as models walked through a living tapestry of florals, light and storytelling fabrics. Each design by Ginny Litscher brought color, depth and narrative to life – transforming the garden into a stage for wearable art.

Last week, SAFAR had the privilege of participating in an exclusive outdoor portrait session with renowned Swiss photographer Michel Comte at Mews House Zurich. Styled in a refined summer look from the Mews collection, the shoot took place in the vibrant heart of Zurich.

Michel Comte’s distinguished career includes iconic portraits of cultural figures such as Naomi Campbell, Sharon Stone, Carla Bruni and Mike Tyson. Beyond fashion photography, his work spans humanitarian projects and environmental advocacy, reflecting a deep commitment to impactful storytelling.

During the visit, we also explored the Mews House swimwear pop-up – a curated selection perfect for the season. We highly recommend visiting this summer to discover timeless and elegant pieces.

This unique experience offered SAFAR not only a portrait by a renowned photographer but also insight into his thoughtful and understated approach.
