Our movies are a sort of meeting point between the art world and the movies world.

The objective of the new activity of video art production, curated by Antonella Kurzen and produced by Fine Arts Unternehmen AG, is to offer valid documentation that can testimony (as much as a catalogue can) the actual nature of an exhibition, event or work of an artist. Thus, the product will be a testimony of what took place and will be strongly characterized as a logical supplement of the even

t itself—a supplement capable not only of restoring the curatorial aspects of the works but also of re-proposing the perceptive suggestions that event- and exhibition-goers genuinely experience. Exhibitions document a perceptiveness underway in
contemporary art, and, as a consequence, video must record it, translating its natural diachronic register to the synchronic one proper to vision.

Apertura Ufficiale del Festival Diritti Umani Lugano
Il Festival Diritti Umani Lugano apre ufficialmente le sue porte con la dedica al popolo eritreo, popolo che conosce un forte esodo a causa del regime totalitario installatosi nel paese nel 1993.
Nell'ambito di questa dedica, saranno presenti e porteranno le loro testimonianze quattro rappresentanti della comunità eritrea: Alganesh Fessaha, Fana Asefaw, Padre Mussie Zerai e Keshi Kidane.

La serata prosegue con la proiezione di , Palma d'Oro a Cannes nel 2015, di Jacques Audiard. Sarà presente in sala e parteciperà alla serata di apertura anche Antonythasan Jesuthasan, scrittore, attore e protagonista del film inspirato alla sua vicenda personale.

Porteranno il loro saluto anche l'On. Manuele Bertoli, Consigliere di Stato, l'On. Marco Borradori, Sindaco di Lugano e l'On. Giovanna Masoni Brenni, vicesindaco di Lugano.
