⚫ Rwandan Gospel singer GOGO is no more
The gospel music community in Rwanda and all over East Africa is in shock after the sudden death of gospel singer
Musabyimana Gloriose, widely known as Gogo.
She passed away on the night of September 3, 2025, in Uganda after battling an illness. A medical report from Kyegera Doctors Center confirmed her death.
Bruno K, her manager, confirmed the news of her death on social media, which left many netizens saddened.
Bikem Uwayesu, who was with her, said Gogo left Rwanda on August 28 for a crusade in Mbarara, held from August 29–31. Afterward, she and her team traveled to Kampala for a promotional engagement. Shortly after arriving, she fell ill, and her condition worsened. She was rushed to the hospital but died on arrival.
Gogo was a celebrated Rwandan gospel singer who gained fame with her hit song "Everyday, I Need Blood of Jesus," which went viral. People loved her soulful voice and deep faith.
The 36-year-old singer is going to be remembered for her catchy English terms such as, "I going'', and "Guud bayi"!
