The Population of Mbengwi is out to protest the creation of the Mbengwi-Teghenibi Village.

The viage was created few months ago and currently occupies 4/5 the land surface of the current Mbengwi village.

We will be broadcasting live the protest march to the office of the SDO to table their worries.

The death of Major General Philippe Mpay has been announced by several close sources, who confirmed that he passed away last night.

General Mpay was widely known for his role in shaping Cameroon’s military education system. For many years, he supervised some of the country’s top military and paramilitary training institutions.

He notably presided over major graduation ceremonies at the Combined Military Academy (EMIA), the International War College (ESIG), and the Presidential Guard training school.

Beyond his educational leadership, General Mpay also served for 17 years in the elite Presidential Guard unit.

Despite the many positions he held during his career, he will mostly be remembered by many as “the Education General” for his contribution to military training and leadership development in Cameroon.

Before his demise, Major General Mpay was the Commander of Military Schools and Training Centres.

The Divisonal Officer for Tubah Subdivision, Massango Metougue Narcisse has officially launched activities to mark the 54th Edition of the National Day Celebrations in Tubah.

The activities were officially launched on Friday 8th May 2026 as pupils and students converged on the youth empowerment Centre to take part in poetry, choral singing and traditional dances.

Also prominent is an ongoing football competition involving 8 teams drawn from across the villages that make up Tubah.

The 2026 National Day Celebrations in Cameroon will take place under the theme; "National unity: Backbone of our defence system, bedrock of Cameroon's development."

His Royal Majesty Chief Etina Monono of Great Soppo Buea is no more.

The member of the South West House of Chiefs journeyed to the world beyond this Thursday 7th May 2026.

Chief Erina Monono was one of the most revered Chiefs of Buea and the South West Region.
