Nightmares: Daily Realities of a Communication Professional
As a communication professional, nightmares are a daily reality. From sifting through extensive quarterly or annual reports to gathering information for synthesized reports, the constant worry is whether the selected stories and articulations effectively represent the organization's work. This concern intensifies at times.
When approval is obtained from management to proceed with the selected content, one nightmare is laid to rest, but another soon takes its place. The next worry concerns the layout, particularly when collaborating with an external graphics designer.
Once the designer submits the layout, a new nightmare emerges. Questions about whether all the adopted text is correctly laid out, free of errors, and consistent with branding elements such as graphic charts and font type/style keep preoccupying the mind.
After thorough checks and the final adoption of the layout, the printing process brings a new set of nightmares. In a non-standardized printing environment, meticulous work can still result in a poorly printed final product. Some print jobs turn out so poorly that it becomes a challenge to explain to management or readers. This is the daily reality of a communications professional.
How do you overcome your work nightmares, let's talk in the comments section.
