Personally, I've had issues with friends who suggest eating out. I'm not a fan of roadside or restaurant food. With 3 hours daily to spare, why not cook your own meals?

School's Back, But Food Prices Are Skyrocketing!

As schools reopen, many families are worried about feeding their kids. Remember, when you're hungry, your body needs nutrients, not just calories or junk food like garri.

I recall holidays between 2016 and 2020 when we'd return to the village and buy a half bag of rice (9500frs then) and 10 liters of oil to last the academic year. But now, that same rice costs 21000frs!

Students are struggling to find affordable food, and parents are stressed. Transport costs have also increased;20000frs barely covers travel expenses to the same village which use to be 9000frs. Prices are going up, but remain the same. What does the future holds?

In these tough times, prioritize healthy eating, even if it's less often. Every bite counts. Don't sacrifice nutrition for affordability. Eat foods that give you energy and strength. Budget wisely and cut unnecessary expenses.

To cope, remember: eat healthily to stay disease-free, focus on needs over wants, and make every meal count. Let's adapt and thrive despite economic uncertainty.

A boy with a difference 😆. Just so you know a little about me!
I'm called Azeal Ndim, from the northwest of Cameroon 🇨🇲. Born of Kom parents but raised by the whole world, and you all are contributors to my growth (that's why I'm called the last born🤦 though).

I grew up imagining my world around food, which is why I took a career path in Food Processing Technology and bioresourse management at the University of Bamenda. I'm passionate about everything I do because, as a son of the jungle, we believe most in our strength and consistency.
