🛑 COMPLETE NEWS ‼️Initial reports indicate that the incident resulting in the deaths of two Cameroonian soldiers at the Bamenda Air Force Base stemmed from a dispute over mission funds.
Reports reveal that Sergeant Chief Mbeh Joseph led a team to retrieve the body of a soldier allegedly killed by separatist fighters in Afua, Boyo Division.
Upon returning from the mission, Sergeant Chief Mbeh was supposed to distribute the mission allowance among the soldiers, but he reportedly awarded them only a minimal portion of the funds.
One of the deceased soldiers, identified as Yves, expressed his dissatisfaction with the unfair distribution of money, which allegedly escalated into a heated confrontation between him and Sergeant Chief Mbeh.
According to the same reports, Sergeant Chief Mbeh became enraged, seized a gr***de, and threw it at Yves, resulting in significant injuries, particularly to Yves's abdomen.
Despite being wounded, Yves, who was on guard duty with a loaded rifle, recognized that he might not make it. He then opened fire on Sergeant Chief Mbeh, hitting him multiple times.
Sergeant Chief Mbeh was reportedly killed instantly, while Yves later succumbed to his gr***de-inflicted injuries.
The Cameroonian military has yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident.
