CHARIAID INTERNATIONAL CAMEROON just rounded off a workshop session, which took place on June 27 at Old town, Bamenda, training over 45 youth leaders and civil society members on civic education initiative and youths/ citizen empowerment.

Their project titled “empowering citizens: a civic education initiative " funded by the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), focused on promoting civic education and inclusive decision making by including youths, women and people with disabilities in decision making thus, contributing to a more democratic society.

According to the project manager at CHARIAID, Joanes Toulac, youths, women and people with disabilities are mostly excluded from decision making and tend to suffer the most afterwards. CHARIAID therefore emphasized on inclusive decision making as participants were given questions to respond to, on ways in promoting inclusive decision making to make their needs known. The participant signed out of the workshop feeling confident, excited and informed on the need to participate in decision making and let their voices heard.

CHARIAID INTERNATIONAL CAMEROON began their work in 2017 and are operational in the health domain, education, vocational training, environment and climate change, all targeting youths, women and people with disabilities.

Nelson Mandela❤️ once said, "Poverty is not an accident❌. Like slavery and apartheid, it is man-made😞 and can be removed by the actions of human beings✅."

These words resonate deeply when we look at the work of Community Empowerment Agency for Sustainable Development - Cemasud💥 in Bamenda. They are currently empowering youths on vocational training💃 in ICT running alongside trainings on entrepreneurship👩‍💼.

It does not end there🫢. Are you a less previledged or an Internally Displaced Person (IDP) that has always wanted to learn a skill😇 but no means😓? CEMASUD is offering you a SCHOLARSHIP😍🫂 in the field of GRAPHIC DESIGNING👩‍💻, SECRETARIAL DUTIES👩‍💼🧑‍💼, and WEB DEVELOPMENT👩‍💻🧑‍💻.

CEMASUD’s effort is helping many people to rise above the challenges of poverty💯👌, empowering them to change their lives for the better❤️. They are proving this by investing in people and giving them the tools they need to succeed✅🫠. Small actions are capable of making great things possible💃🥳👏🏻. What do you think about this initiative 🤨🤨❓❓❓❓❓❓

Did you know planting just one tree can change the world🌎💭🤔 ?. Small 🤏 actions count in the fight against climate change. It may sound small, but you don’t need a grandiose thing to change the world🥹🥰.

Forest and Agroforestry Promoter [FAP NGO Cameroon]♥️ team is going above ⬆️ and beyond to protect and preserve the local environment🌴🍀🥰. In collaboration with -TERRA MATCH✅, they have planted 77,000 trees in water catchment and agroforestry plots in a locality in Bamenda 1, known as Bamendakwe😍.
This is a testament to their commitment to ensure a better future for all by not only improving the quantity of water but it’s quality too and at the same time combating climate change👏🏻. One tree🏝️at a time, they're making a difference and paving the way for a greener, cleaner, and more beautiful world 🌳💚.

In a world 🌍 that often feels overwhelming and out of control😫💔, the story of FAP is a reminder that we have the power 🔋 to make a difference😍. Their journey teaches us that it doesn’t take grand gestures❎ or fancy solutions👎 to make the world a better place, just the determination to take action💯✅. We all can do that, one step at a time👏🏻.
