Founder of Waspito, Jean Lobe Lobe, had the rare honor of presenting his groundbreaking health-tech innovation directly to President Emmanuel Macron at the Francotech event in Paris.

Hereโs what Jean had to say after such a remarkable encounter:
" From 'we can't afford it' to shaking hands with the President of one of the world's largest economies. One of those validation days that got me thinking.
There was a time when daily meals were a luxury. My late father, an English teacher earning less than $350/month, once tried to get a $3,000 loan so I could study in the UK. He was told, "Children schooling abroad is not for every family." I saw his heartbreak - and it became my fuel.
My mother, a fearless entrepreneur, kept us going. Even when fire burned down her entire market stock leaving her in debt and ridicule, she never stopped fighting.
Today, that same boy they said couldn't dream abroad leads a health-tech company transforming access to healthcare across Africa via WASPITO
This moment - meeting the President of France - isn't just mine. It's for every parent who sacrificed, every child who dared, and every dream that refused to die.
I don't consider myself "made." I still learn every day - the journey is far from over but we are taking Baby steps in the right direction.
There will always be challenges, I can't count the even bigger ones I face today but I was built for this.
To my dear younger Africans: it is possible, but it will not be easy. You were built for what ever it is you are pushing as well. Keep fighting, keep building, keep believing.
Because one day, it will be you standing tall telling your story, proving that from Africa, greatness still rises.
