UNCOVERING THE MYSTERY OF FIRSTBORNS
The firstborn Child is the womb opener , the pride of the family
Naturally the firstborn has unique rights , responsibilities and privileges over every other child in the family
Families especially in our African society attach so much value to the eldest son assigning him with distinct functions ,roles and benefits.
In most families nothing is done without consulting this group of people, and their words always counts .
Infact a family without a firstborn male child is considered weak
The firstborn male is therefore very important as He represents the prime of human strength and vitality of womb opener.
Genesis 49:3
AMP: Reuben, you are my firstborn, my might, the beginning (the firstfruits) of my manly strength and vigor; [your birthright gave you] the preeminence in dignity and the preeminence in power.
Naturally the firstborn male Child of the family by birthright is immediate heir to throne. But we consistently in the Bible how the promises of God , the inheritance and covenant of Abraham was always shifted from the firstborn to the 2rd or 4th of even the last child .
What went wrong ?
THE QUESTION NOW IS ,
WHY IS THAT A GROUP OF PEOPLE WITH SO MUCH VALUE , UNIQUENESS AND PRIVILEGES ARE SURROUNDED WITH MUCH FAILURE, MISCHIEF AND UNPRODUCTIVE LIFESTYLE ?
Studies have proven that most firstborn are rarely successful, full of range , bitterness, always rejected , faced with hardship, difficult times and frustration.
Let's examine some firstborns in the Bible.
1) ADAM's Family . Adam and Eve have birth to Cain and Abel , Cain being the first born killed Abel the second child after God rejected his offering and accepted that of Abel . Question ❓ Why did God reject His offer and accept that of Abel ? God sees our heart and understand our intentions. Cain's heart was not right. Inside him was a murderer, a man full with bitterness and range. That was the end of Cain's life . God began with SETH .
2) ABRAHAM'S FAMILY. Abraham gave birth to Ismael and Isaac, Ismael was given birth to by a slave woman Hagar out of Abraham's unbelief and doubts about God's promises . Ismael was sent out of the house with his mother after the birth of Isaac, Isaac was the promised son ,hence receive the inheritance instead of Ismael. Again the firstborn is rejected. So the circumstances surrounding your birth can affect your life and inheritance.
3) ISAAC'S Family. Two nations are in your stomach but the older will serve the younger. We later saw how Esau sold his birthright exchanging his position and inheritance with red stew to Jacob the younger brother , Did God cheat Esau ? No , He has compassion to whom he chooses to have compassion on. God is teaching us Grace , We don't merit God's inheritance by birthright We only enjoy it by Grace through Jesus Christ ( I'll explain Better)
4) David's Family, Have you ever wonders what happened to the firstborn son of David? Prince Amnon with all the privileges he had , He rapped his half sister Tamar , Absalom's full sister . Absalom after two years got him killed, because of Lust , fornication and pride , He lost his inheritance to Solomon. 2Samuel 13:1-39
4) Saul's Family, Jonathan the heir to the throne of Israel at that time , betrayed his father saul by joining camps with David. No matter happens your father remains your father.
5) Jacob's Family: Reuben who was the firstborn male was denied his inheritance bc He slept with his father's concubine? How could he do such a degrading thing? Inheritance were passed to Judah and to Ephraim
Gen 49:3
6) Joseph's Family: In blessing the son's of Joseph , Manasseh and Ephraim who now became the adopted sons of Jacob , Jacob crossed his hands and bless giving authority and honor to Ephraim instead of Manasseh. God still interested in teaching us his Grace.
Genesis 48:8+ ,Jer 31:9
7) Jesse's Family. 1Samuel 16 :1-11 God told Prophet Samuel look not on Eliab's countenance for Man looks at the outward appearance but I look at the heart, I have rejected Him. David was chosen and anointed as the next king of Israel.
AFTER READING THIS DO YOU THINK ITS WELL WITH YOUR FIRSTBORNS ? NO IT'S NOT UNTIL YOU DO THIS .
Exodus 13:2
AMP: Sanctify (consecrate, set apart) to Me all the firstborn [males]; whatever is first to open the womb among the Israelites, both of man and of beast, is Mine.
Every firstborn most be fully consecrated , born again,set apart and committed in serving God ,for you belong to God
This is in commemoration to the Passover night where God instructed blood to be robbed on the door post and the evil Spirit passed over and killed all Egyptians firstborn. The blood on the door post represented or symbolized the blood of JESUS ON THE CROSS , So every firstborn most be washed and cleansed by that blood to be able to live and enjoy life . So if you're a first born and you're not born again you'll suffer till death. Be born again. The life you're living is not yours.
1Samuel 1:11-22 Hannah prayed for a child and God granted her the baby Samuel, she made a vow ," If you give me a son I'll offer him back to you " after she weaned Samuel she offered him to the priest and Samuel grew in the presence of God and became the first prophet and king maker of Israel. This is how your life will make meaning if you're born again and fully dedicated.
NATURALLY JESUS WAS THE FIRST BORN OF MARY
Luke 2:7
SPIRITUAL JESUS WAS CONSECRATED AFTER BIRTH
Luke 2:22 And when the time for their purification [the mother's purification and the Baby's dedication] came according to the Law of Moses, they brought Him up to Jerusalem to present Him to the Lord–[Lev. 12:1-4.]
Luke 2:23 As it is written in the Law of the Lord, Every [firstborn] male that opens the womb shall be set apart and dedicated and called holy to the Lord–[Exod. 13:1, 2, 12; Num. 8:17.]
JESUS WOULDN'T HAVE ACCOMPLISHED HIS PURPOSE IF THIS PROCESS WAS SKIPPED.
YOU CAN'T AFFORD TO JOKE WITH YOUR SALVATION AND FUTURE.
JESUS IS THE FIRSTBORN OF ALL CREATION COL 1:15
SO YOU NEED THE LIFE OF CHRIST IN YOU TO BE SUCCESSFUL.

EVERY BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN IS A FIRSTBORN ENTITLED TO CHRIST INHERITANCE.
