Nous pleurons la perte de ce visage emblématique de l'émission DÉLIRE, qui a captivé le public pendant 17 années à partir de 1991. Sa voix unique et son énergie contagieuse ont su révéler le potentiel de tant de Camerounais. 🥀

Après des rumeurs sur sa santé, FOLY DIRANE était récemment réapparu, nous rassurant dans une vidéo TIKTOK qu'il se sentait mieux et qu'il était prêt à revenir à la scène. Malheureusement, cette fois-ci, la triste réalité est là. VEYRETON ADRIEN TAFEN a déposé son micro, laissant une famille dévastée et des fans en larmes. 😭

Nous adressons nos pensées les plus sincères à sa famille durant cette période difficile. Que son âme repose en paix. 🪦

**41 ans du RDPC : Une célébration unie à Nkongsamba en soutien indéfectible à Paul Biya**

Nkongsamba, le 24 mars 2026 – Le Rassemblement Démocratique du Peuple Camerounais (RDPC) a marqué avec enthousiasme son 41ème anniversaire. Ce jour-là, la ville a vibré au rythme d’une mobilisation extraordinaire, rassemblant militants et sympathisants des trois sections locales.

La place des fêtes, transformée en un véritable nid de passion, a accueilli une foule enthousiaste, reflet de l'attachement profond des habitants aux valeurs du parti. Dans une ambiance à la fois festive et engagée, les participants ont renouvelé leur engagement envers les principes de rassemblement, de démocratie et de cohésion sociale que défend le RDPC.

La cérémonie, présidée par le chef de la délégation permanente départementale du RDPC pour le Moungo, représenté par David Ekoumé, s'est déroulée en présence du préfet du département du Moungo, des trois sous-préfets, des conseillers régionaux, ainsi que de nombreux acteurs locaux, y compris des chefs traditionnels.

L'événement a été un véritable festival de couleurs et d’animations, orchestré avec soin par le comité d’organisation, qui a voulu marquer les esprits lors de ces noces de fer du parti. Parmi les moments marquants, les prestations artistiques ont brillamment illustré la richesse culturelle du Cameroun, offrant un aperçu captivant des différentes aires culturelles du pays.

Cette célébration intervient dans un climat politique particulier, juste après la récente élection présidentielle où le candidat du RDPC a obtenu une victoire significative. Elle se déroule également à l’aube d’échéances municipales et législatives, renforçant ainsi l’appel à l’unité et à la mobilisation des militants pour garantir un succès retentissant du parti lors de ces prochaines élections.

Yaoundé 4 District: Mayor Gabriel Effila Launches War on Garbage

Determined to make his district cleaner and safer, the mayor of Yaoundé 4, Gabriel Effila, launched a major operation today to combat illegal dumping.

In a visible and unambiguous move, garbage bins have been installed in numerous strategic locations throughout the district to encourage residents to adopt good waste management practices.

"I no longer want to see garbage in my district," declared Mr. Effila during a site visit.

The new installations—metal bins and containers placed along streets, at markets, and near public transport stops—aim to facilitate the sorting and disposal of household waste, as well as to discourage the careless behavior that detracts from public spaces and promotes the spread of disease.

The municipality accompanied this action with a clear and firm message: “If you’re caught littering, it’s straight to Kondengui prison.”

This statement, echoed by the mayor’s team, reflects the intention to apply strict sanctions against offenders.

Local authorities explain that the threat of prosecution or detention is intended as a preventative measure to protect public health and the urban environment.

Reactions from residents have been mixed. For some shopkeepers and residents, the initiative is a welcome one after years of garbage accumulating in the neighborhoods.

“Before, we didn’t know where to throw our garbage away; now there are trash cans everywhere—it’s better for everyone,” says a vendor at the central market.

Others, however, question the practical implementation of the punitive measures and demand guarantees regarding respect for citizens’ rights and the fairness of the enforcement.

In Yaoundé 4, the time has come to change habits.

It remains to be seen whether the campaign launched by Mayor Gabriel Effila will succeed in transforming residents' daily practices and permanently establishing urban cleanliness as a core community priority.

The economist has joined the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences, following the appointment by Pope Leo XIV. She is expected to serve as an ordinary member and will be tasked with reflecting on major global issues alongside other experts.

Prior to this appointment, Vera Songwe was recognized as one of Africa's 50 Most Powerful Women by Forbes, named one of the "100 Most Influential African Women" by Jeune Afrique in 2019, one of the "100 Most Influential African Women" by New African Magazine in 2020, and one of the "25 Africans to Watch" by the Financial Times in 2015. She is also known for her extensive experience in policy consulting and her proven track record of delivering development results for Africa.

BREAKING NEWS — Hope Sona Ebai, CDC Board Chair, Dies in Douala at 71

Hope Sona Ebai, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Cameroon Development Corporation (CDC), passed away in Douala on March 4, 2026.

Born in 1954 in Kumba, Ebai was a globally respected agricultural economist with nearly 30 years of experience in the cocoa and coffee industries. Over the course of his career, he served as Director General of the National Cocoa and Coffee Board (ONCC) and Secretary General of the World Cocoa Alliance (COPAL). In May 2021, he was appointed CDC Board Chair by presidential decree.

He was serving as CDC Board Chair at the time of his passing.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by his family and the Manyemen community.

The Minister, deeply shocked by this family tragedy, deplores all these heinous acts that violate life, dignity, and the fundamental rights of human beings in general, and children in particular.

While offering her deepest condolences to the bereaved family, the Minister calls upon everyone to act responsibly and vigilantly so that no child will ever again be a victim of infanticide." She reaffirms the Government's unwavering commitment to ensuring the protection of children and respect for human dignity.

Ms. S**e Bille devoted over 30 years to fighting for women's rights, co-founding the Association for the Fight Against Violence on Women (ALVF). She was a formidable force in the struggle, and her legacy will continue as we confront the ongoing battle against violence faced by women in Cameroon.
