Discontent in Douala – Bonamoussadi: Troublemakers Arrested

A scene of mass disorder erupted this Wednesday in Bonamoussadi, in the city of Douala, where several individuals engaged in acts of incivility, going so far as to tear down advertising posters bearing the image of the President of the Republic, Paul Biya.

Alerted, law enforcement officers intervened promptly to contain the situation. The Prefect of Wouri, who visited the area, personally oversaw the restoration of order.

While the disorder was collective, the punishment will be individual. Each of the perpetrators will be held personally accountable for their actions before the law. Several arrests have already been made, and investigations are continuing to identify possible accomplices.

The administrative authorities reiterate that the Republic has laws, and that no freedom can be exercised in disregard of public order or national symbols. Calm has now returned to the area, under increased vigilance by security forces.

Historic mega rally of the CPDM unfolded in Limbe, Fako division with the distinguished presence of the Prime Minister, Head of Government, Chief Dr Joseph Dion Ngute, who reassured the people of southwest that the Bekoko Idenau road reconstruction shall begin before the end of 2025, he also assured the people of the rehabilitation project of SONARA and disclosed that the Limbe deep sea port is no longer a project that it is a reality
The prime minister head of government called on the entire population to cast their vote in favor of the head of state president Paul Biya so that the projects he has stared can become a reality.

SECURITY - STRONG INTERVENTION BY THE 6th BIR IN LIKOKO: TERRORISTS NEUTRALIZED IN A CHURCH.

A new episode of tension rocked the town of Likoko, in the Muyuka district of Cameroon's Southwest region. On Monday morning, a group of terrorists claiming to be from the so-called "imaginary republic of Ambazonia" burst into a local church during a religious celebration. According to testimonies gathered on the scene, the attackers attempted to force the worshippers to wear T-shirts bearing secessionist symbols, with the aim of using them for a parade planned for October 1, a symbolic date for separatist activists. But the maneuver didn't last long. Alerted by local residents, elements of the 6th Rapid Intervention Battalion (BIR), an elite unit of the Cameroonian armed forces, intervened promptly.

The operation was carried out with precision, neutralizing the attackers without causing any casualties among the worshippers. Homemade weapons and propaganda material were seized at the scene. Local authorities commend the BIR's responsiveness and call on the population to remain vigilant and collaborate closely with the authorities.

Advocate for governance and veteran lawyer, Barrister Akere Muna, has narrated the reasons for endorsing Bello Bouba Maigari for the forthcoming presidential elections. For Muna, his endorsement was based on three factors that he considers useful for the future of Cameroon. “I was looking for three things,” he noted. “One, a concrete strategy in the fight against corruption; two, a concrete strategy on inclusive dialogue to address the North West and South West crisis; and three, a clear position on the form of the state, especially federalism.” Muna noted that his accord with Bello Bouba gives him direct responsibility for all three, which he considers vital to the reform and stability of the nation. “The goal here is to show the Cameroonian people that the opposition has a united and credible alternative. This is not about ambition but about fixing our country,” Muna concluded.
