The music video of "Deliver Me Remix" by King has been unveiled. This is the song against Drug Abuse that originated from Shweng King's famous TikTok Freestyle titled "Deliver Me".
The song was produced by Handy Braxton and video directed by Dastarlion Pictures and features Rick Silver, Handy B, Lill humble, D'Slyk, Tahbax, ASKIA and Wildman.
I am a big admirer of this project and I made it clear during my first publication about it. Unfortunately, the energy and drama around it made me distant myself from it (Not proud of my actions I must say). I'm glad that the producers and main sponsors behind have seen it through and at least delivered the visuals for our viewing and dancing pleasure. =
The video looks okay, and like we would expect is an upcoming video project. I wasn’t expecting some crazy expensive scenes or concepts that would require a lot of resources. I’m not entirely sure why despite the project's popularity and 'positiveness', they could not secure support and involvement of bigger names in the industry.
- Or perhaps it's good that bigger names weren't involved because the one big name that got to be involved attracted a lot of drama and reactions. Again, not something I want to get involved in.
I also noticed that the video colour concept was largely distorted when they tried to include Askia's scenes because clearly, she wasn't part of the original video shoot. Her environment was different and I'm not sure if it's the camera or the editing, but it made it feel like we were watching 3 different music projects all in one. The song is already too long with 7 artists, so not having the video follow one creative concept makes it even less attractive.
So what next? I hear TikTok is a good place for community involvement and support towards such projects, so I hope something is being done beyond just singing to advocate against drug abuse. I expect humanitarian organizations, NGOs to pick this, or partner with the artists involved and ensure it achieves physical and realistic change.
From us here on Facebook, I’m worried the only vibes we’ve received about the project is more negative related, drama and lots of emotions flying around. I don’t know if it’s because the challenge didn’t originate from Facebook, but I hate it when Facebook turns out to be the negative platform on such issues. Please let us push and ensure that our opinion leaders are objective enough and pass on the right message while ensuring that objectives are achieved.
I will leave link of the video in the comments for your enjoyment. Please comment and share this post if you enjoyed it so that others can do same. Also comment and share if you don’t like it. You need to encourage me to know what I did wrong so that I can be better.
Cheers once more to a great weekend ahead.
