🚨🚨🚨SAY NO TO SEXUAL ASSAULT!!!

A second lieutenant serving at the Natchigal detachment in Ntui in the Centre region, has been arrested and charged with sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl who came to collect a package inside the military compound, Cameroon’s Ministry of Defense said.

Guards intervened after hearing the victim’s cries, apprehended the suspect, and transferred him to military security headquarters in Yaoundé. The victim received emergency medical care and psychological support, and her family is being provided specialized assistance.

The ministry strongly condemned the act, expressed support for the victim and her family, and said disciplinary and judicial action will follow the ongoing investigation.

🚨🚨🚨Sad News!!!

A man and his 2-year-old son are reported to have died after being struck by a vehicle on the Douala-Yaoundé highway.

The child’s mother was seriously injured in the crash and had her foot cut off, as per reports.

The accident has renewed concerns over safety on the busy route, which is frequently the scene of fatal crashes.

Nigerians on their kneels, bless and thank God for returning back to home country.

Nigeria has repatriated 258 citizens from South Africa as xenophobic attacks and anti-migrant protests intensify.

The evacuees landed Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Lagos’ Murtala Muhammed International Airport on an Air Peace charter and were received by officials of the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu approved the evacuation to protect Nigerians affected by the unrest.

Authorities say more than 1,000 Nigerians have registered for possible repatriation amid growing safety fears and targeted attacks on foreigners.

The government reiterated its commitment to safeguarding citizens abroad, stressing that no Nigerian should live in fear because of their nationality.

Cameroon: Foreign Firms Signal Up to $1 Billion in Reinvestment

Foreign companies operating in Cameroon could reinvest up to $1 billion in the economy, according to results of a joint survey released on June 9, 2026, by the Investment Promotion Agency (API) and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).

The Investor Monitoring and Support Survey (2023–2025) shows that firms have immediate plans to reinvest about $167 million, reflecting strong investor confidence.

UNIDO official Stefan Kratzsch described these investors as a key asset and called for better government coordination to support their expansion.

API Director General Donatus Shinwinsoh Boma urged a shift toward “aftercare” policies that support existing investors, including easing export constraints to boost revenue.

European and Asian investors dominate both company presence and employment, while African regional investors also make notable contributions to jobs.

Somali referee gets hero’s welcome after World Cup visa denial

Somalia’s Omar Abdulkadir Artan received a triumphal reception at Mogadishu’s Aden Adde Airport after being denied entry to the US for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Despite holding official documents, the 2025 CAF Male Referee of the Year was held for 11 hours at Miami airport, then sent back to Turkey over background check concerns. FIFA confirmed he could not take part, noting visa decisions lie with the host country.

UEFA responded by awarding Artan the prestigious UEFA Super Cup, European game between PSG and Aston Villa.
