Nigerian President Bola Tinubu ordered on Tuesday the launch of a massive rescue operation aimed at freeing dozens of people abducted on Friday during an attack on a mosque in western Nigeria.
โI am outraged by the abduction and killing of innocent citizens by criminal elements within the state,โ he said on X. โThose who carried out this cowardly attack against defenseless Nigerians are enemies of peace and humanity, and they will not go unpunished.โ
