Last Month spent 4 amazing days in Uganda for the Greenovations High Level Policy Forum in hosted by United Nations University - Institute for Environment and Human Security (UNU-EHS) to discuss the project's outputs and foster collaboration with key actors of the green entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem.

My participation in the Greenovations Collaboration Forum event, from 23rd– 25th September 2024 in Kampala, Uganda representing Zixtech HUB in the Capacity of Independent Research Consultant for the Virtual Blue print and Lead Hub for Climate Smart Agriculture supporting 4 startups through the Incubation and Acceleration process.

The Greenovations project is coordinated by United Nations University Vice-Rectorate in Europe and seeks to bring together actors and stakeholders of the green innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem in Africa to identify and ideate solutions, organize, and support innovators and entrepreneurs, with a focus on women and youth. The Greenovations project’s operation is spearheaded by UNU-ViE in partnership with UNFCCC Regional Collaboration Centre Kampala, Pan Africa University Institute for Water and Energy Sciences (PAUWES), AfriLabs and Venture Capital for Africa (VC4A) and funded by The International Development Research Centre (IDRC).

After working in the Ecosystem since 2006 (18 years), supporting entrepreneurs, SMEs, and Large, working with corporations, Regional and international organizations, DFIs, Foundations, and Government Agencies, I can conclude at the bottom of every glimpse of innovation and development was either an active Policy framework or lack of policy.

is at the heart of everything we do, and not just policy but a progressive, dynamic human-centric that transcends government mandates, and regimes and can transcend cultural and ethnic targeting.

For us to see a thriving African tech ecosystem, we need to invest and lend our voice to formation, capacity building, and developing the necessary frameworks.
Effectively working with the public sector and all stakeholders for robust, well-implemented, inclusive, and independent policy structures.
