Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the gift of life and for this beautiful day. I place myself and every member of my family into Your loving hands. Please bless our lives with peace, good health, wisdom, and happiness.
Lord, protect us from danger, sickness, sadness, and every evil plan. Cover our family with Your mercy and let Your light shine upon our home. Give us strength in difficult times and help us to always trust in You.
Bless the work of our hands and provide for all our needs. Let there be love, unity, understanding, and joy in our family. May every door of blessings open for us, and may Your favor follow us wherever we go.
Father, guide our thoughts, words, and actions so that we may live in peace with one another and with everyone around us. Keep our children, parents, friends, and loved ones safe and happy.
Thank You, Lord, for always being with us. We believe that better days are ahead because You are our protector and provider.
In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Family Gospel Sharing – John 21:20-25
My dear family, today’s Gospel from the book of Gospel of John teaches us an important lesson: we should focus on our own journey with God and not compare ourselves too much with others.
When Peter asked Jesus about another disciple, Jesus answered him, “You follow me.” In many African homes and communities, people often compare themselves with others — who has more money, better children, bigger farms, better jobs, or more blessings. This comparison can bring jealousy, sadness, and division.
Jesus reminds us today that every person has his own mission and blessing from God. Like in a village farm, not every crop grows at the same speed. Corn, cassava, and plantain all have different seasons, but each one is useful. In the same way, God has a different plan for each member of our family.
As Catholics, we are called to remain faithful to Christ, to pray together, forgive one another, help the weak, and continue doing good even when life is difficult. The disciple John remained close to Jesus with love and faithfulness. We too should stay close to Jesus through prayer, the Rosary, Holy Mass, and love for one another.
Let us stop worrying too much about the lives of others and concentrate on following Jesus faithfully in our homes, work, and daily struggles.
May our family be united in love, peace, and trust in God. Amen.

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the gift of this new morning. Thank You for loving us even when we fail You many times. Lord Jesus, just as You forgave Peter and gave him another chance, please forgive us for our sins and weaknesses.
Give us hearts full of love, kindness, and humility. Help us to care for our families, neighbours, and those who are suffering around us. Teach us to serve others with joy, just like a good shepherd cares for his sheep.
Lord, in our African communities where many people are passing through hardship, division, and disappointment, let Your peace and unity reign. Bless the work of our hands, protect our children, guide our leaders, and bring healing to every broken heart.
Give us strength to follow You faithfully and courage to stand for truth and goodness every day. May our homes be filled with love, prayer, and understanding.
We surrender this day into Your hands. Walk with us, guide us, and keep evil far from us.
In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

In John 21:15-19, after Peter denied Jesus three times, Jesus did not reject him. Instead, He asked Peter three times, “Do you love me?” Then Jesus told him, “Feed my sheep.” This shows us that true love for God is not only by words, but by caring for people around us.
In many African homes and communities, people pass through shame, failure, and disappointment. Sometimes we make mistakes and feel unworthy. But like Peter, God still gives us another chance. Jesus can still use a broken person to do great things.
Today, God is asking us the same question: “Do you love me?” If we truly love Him, we should show kindness, help the poor, care for our families, respect others, and live in peace with our neighbours. A good Christian is like a good village elder who protects and guides the people with love.
No matter your past, God can still trust you with a mission. Do not stay in guilt. Stand up again and follow Christ with a clean heart.
May this morning bring peace, courage, and love into your home. Amen.
