‼️THE DEATH OF JESUS EXPLAINED MEDICALLY 😭
“And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.”
— Philippians 2:8
Oh dear believer…
We shout “Thank You Jesus”… but do we understand what it cost Him?
Forget what you saw in the movies , that was nothing compared to what Jesus actually really went through as pain and agony 😭
Have we ever paused… and truly considered what He went through… just to buy us back?
If you think salvation is cheap, it’s because you’ve never understood the crucifixion.
It wasn’t just a man dying.
It was God in the flesh being shredded by His creation… for our redemption.
Let me explain it to you medically, spiritually, and even prophetically….😭
1- IT BEGAN IN GETHSEMANE…
Before a whip ever touched His back, He started dying in Gethsemane.😭
Science calls it Hematidrosis.
It’s a rare condition where intense emotional stress causes the blood vessels around the sweat glands to burst and you literally sweat blood.🩸
Luke the doctor recorded it carefully:
“And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly: and His sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.”
— Luke 22:44
He wasn’t afraid of nails.
He wasn’t afraid of whips.
He saw the separation from the Father.
He saw the sin He would become.
He saw your abortion, your fornication, your rebellion and still said “Not my will, but Thine be done.”
From that moment, He was no longer walking as a man… He was walking as the Lamb.
2- THE ILLEGAL ARREST AND MOCK TRIAL
They came at night because they couldn’t face Him during the day.
Men with clubs, torches, and hatred in their hearts.
The Judge of all was dragged like a criminal into a kangaroo court.
They slapped Him.
They spat on Him.
They tore His beard.
Isaiah said His face was so disfigured, He didn’t look human.😭
“His visage was so marred more than any man, and His form more than the sons of men.”
— Isaiah 52:14
This wasn’t just emotional torture,
It was the systematic assassination of dignity.😭
And He said nothing.
Like a lamb before its shearers is dumb, He opened not His mouth.
3- THE SCOURGING (39 LASHES OF HELL)
This part… is hard to describe.😭💔
The Roman scourge wasn’t an ordinary whip.
It was called the flagrum (a short whip made of leather thongs, each tipped with sharp bones, glass, and metal).
Every lash ripped flesh, exposed muscle, and tore nerves. 😟
Historians say by the 20th stroke, you could see ribs and organs.
The back became a bloody landscape of shredded humanity.
Why 39?
Because 40 was considered fatal. 💔
So they gave 39… to keep you alive… just enough to feel it. 😭
“By His stripes, we are healed…”
— Isaiah 53:5
He wasn’t just being punished , He was purchasing healing.
Every strike said:
“Cancer, you have no place.”
“Lust, you’ve been paid for.”
“Addiction, your legal ground is gone.”
He became our sickness, and carried it all.
4- THE CROWN OF THORNS
They wove thorns , long, sharp, poisonous into a mock crown.
And they pressed it into His scalp till blood ran down His face.
The scalp is full of vessels , it would have bled profusely.
But this wasn’t just mockery.
Those thorns were symbolic of the curse in Genesis 3:
“Thorns and thistles shall the ground produce…”
He was saying:
“I will wear your curse like a crown, so that you can wear righteousness like a robe.”
And He stood there, silent… disfigured… and crowned with our shame.
5- THE JOURNEY TO GOLGOTHA (THE WAY OF PAIN)
Carrying a cross after losing that much blood was medically suicidal.
He stumbled. He collapsed.
A Roman centurion had to compel Simon of Cyrene to help.
This was the road of prophecy ,the Via Dolorosa , the “way of suffering.”
Every step was agony.😭
Every breath was pain.😭
Yet He walked.
Not for Himself , but for you.😭
6- THE CRUCIFIXION (DEATH BY SUFFOCATION)
Crucifixion is the most brutal death ever designed.
The Romans didn’t just want you to die.
They wanted you to suffer slowly.😭😭😭
They drove 6-inch nails through His wrists, not palms (the wrists hold the weight).
Another nail was driven through both feet.
Not tied , nailed.😭😭
Then the cross was lifted…
And the weight of His body sagged…
Tearing muscle. Dislocating shoulders. Compressing His lungs.😩
To breathe, He had to push up on pierced feet, scrape His back against the wood, inhale, and drop again.😭
Every breath was a scream.
That’s why crucifixion victims could take hours to days to die.😭😭
But He lasted just six hours.
Because the weight of the world’s sin was also on Him.
“Surely He hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows…”
— Isaiah 53:4
7- HE REFUSED THE PAIN-KILLER…
They offered Him vinegar mixed with gall , a sedative.
He refused it.
He didn’t want to numb the pain.
He wanted to feel every bit of what we should have felt.
And as the sky turned dark,
As creation groaned,
He cried one final time:
“IT IS FINISHED!”
Not “I am finished.”
But IT is finished.
The price. The punishment. The penalty.
Paid in full.
WHY DID HE DO IT?
Because no lamb could save us.
No bull could cover us.
No high priest could last forever.
God became flesh… to be torn like flesh.
He became sin… to destroy sin.
He died… to kill death.
“But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
— Romans 5:8
😭 OH SINNER, HOW WILL YOU ESCAPE IF YOU NEGLECT THIS?
You think Jesus is a religion?
No!
He’s not a religion.
He’s the ransom.
He’s the blood that silenced your accuser.
He’s the bridge between your rebellion and the Father’s embrace.
And today… if you hear this…
Don’t harden your heart.
🥹COME TO THE CROSS. NOW.
It’s not too late.
Your sin is not too much.
Your shame is not too deep.
He bled for you.
He died for you.
He’s calling for you.
If you want to surrender, say this from your heart:
“Lord Jesus, I come to You.
I believe You died for me.
I believe You rose again.
Wash me with Your blood.
Forgive my sins.
Break every chain over my life.
Today, I receive eternal life.
I am born again.”
