Meditation strengthens us to resist temptation. What encouragement to meditate! It produces the fear of God and knowledge of God. It helps us not to react to the flesh. It prevents us from wrong reactions. It causes us to respect the way of God. Meditation always brings a response to God, I mean, genuine meditation. That response may be a confession, prayer, praise, thanksgiving. The more the Word of God in us, the better equipped we are to resist sin. By meditation, we receive more from God and God receives more from us. Meditate day and night (Matthew 24:35, Joshua 1:8). What God has said to us does not disappear but keeps returning.” -

HANG ON TO YOUR BELIEF
Faith simply defined is a heart that believes God through ordinary circumstances. This kind of faith should be practised in difficult and perilous times as well as good or favourable circumstances. A good example of this kind of faith is the case of Job in Job 1:21-22 - “ ‘Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will depart. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised.’ In all this, Job did not sin by charging God with wrongdoing.” Despite all he was going through, Job knew that he was to glorify God in good and hard times alike. He knew that God allows trials in our lives not to impair us but to improve us. Remember, God will not give you more than you can bear. He gives us enough grace for each trial we face. Even when goings are tough, hang on to your belief. Just as it was for Job and countless other champions of faith in the Bible, faith is there for you.

Controlling our meditation while we read the Bible gives us the ability to control our conduct and speech. Yielding our hearts over to the Word makes the Word a reality. When the Word becomes a reality to us, we become God-minded and Word-minded. In the morning, our spirits unconsciously go to God for guidance and wisdom for the day.

IT’S TIME TO MAKE BIG PLANS
Are you at the right place? Are you fulfilling the occupation of your destiny?
The will of God for us is to prosper in all areas of our lives: spiritual, emotional, financial, marital etc (Jeremiah 29:11). Don’t limit yourself; you were created to be great just as the apostles in the Bible were great and left legacy’s that still change our lives today.
Some of us have been living within a four foot ceiling when the sky is the limit. It is time to learn to dream again; it is time to make big plans. To learn to dream again is to look to God. To learn to dream again is to re-adjust your focus on God because He is the owner of your dreams. When you live within a ‘four foot ceiling’, you are reducing your destiny by living in the past and allowing your circumstances and what people say to dictate your direction. Don’t limit yourself. If God has given you a dream or vision and it is opposed by men, don’t reduce your vision, believe in that God given dream and follow it. Pay any price to protect your focus and you will achieve your dream the way Joseph achieved his dream on his way to the throne.
Jesus began in a stable but He did not stay there, He moved on. To discover new oceans, you need to lose sight of the shore. Take a different direction in order to achieve a different solution.
In order not to end up like the masses out there who are merely wandering and unsure of their goals and dreams, your objective must be clear. When your purpose is clear, your life will have meaning.

THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR FAILURE - TB JOSHUA
"In my spiritual walk with God I have experienced both good and hard times. Who knows what would have happened if those temporary stops did not come at intervals? Consider how my education suffered epileptic fits; today I am in school, the next day I am out, especially for want of money. I don’t want to call it poverty because the man that is poor is not the one who has no money but one without a dream. Children of destiny can never be poor, though they may experience temporary lacks.
"Before I knew it, I had gone around six different colleges in less than one year. I enrolled for JAMB four times and on each occasion, it was either I forgot my acknowledgement card and other necessary documents or there was an accident on the way to examination venues. People who saw what was happening to me simply attributed my predicament to either sin or non-seriousness on my part. But those with the maturity that comes from faith, like my mother, saw it as mere stopping intervals/ natural stops in my spiritual walk with God.
"I began to look at whatever came my way with a mind whose focus was on God alone, I mean, the maturity that comes from faith in the finished works of our Lord Jesus Christ.
I knew my case was already settled in Heaven. Here I am today in your midst; I can boast of what God is doing for us. Hallelujah! You are all witnesses.
"To those who have no fast legs, no sugar coated mouth and who are without human help - there is no excuse for failure...
"Are you rejected? Come to Jesus - He is your Companion!
Are you abandoned? Come to Jesus - He is your Comforter!
