Mineral-insulated cable looks nothing like any other cable on the production line.
The conductor is wrapped in mineral powder — typically magnesium oxide — then sealed inside a metallic sheath through continuous welding. Not extrusion.
What you're watching: argon arc welding on a continuous metal tube as it forms around the insulation.
No polymer. No combustible material. Just metal, mineral, and metal.
That's why this cable survives 1000°C while everything else has turned to ash.
