Recently, the first coal corridor adopting -powered intelligent inspection technology in China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region was officially put into operation in Hutubi County.
As the longest corridor of its kind in Xinjiang with the maximum elevation drop, this mountain-crossing coal transportation corridor stretches 34.5 kilometers in length, with an elevation difference of over 800 meters. Traversing diverse complex terrains including rivers, mountains and highways, it has a total investment of nearly 700 million yuan.
The project adopts a fully enclosed belt conveyor system integrated with AI-powered intelligent inspection technology, boasting an annual transportation capacity of 7 million tons. It has realized a green transportation mode of "transporting coal through the air without any dust emission". It is estimated that the corridor can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 40,000 tons annually, effectively alleviating the environmental pressure caused by traditional transportation methods. The completion and operation of this project marks a crucial step forward for Xinjiang's green and intelligent coal logistics, providing a new technical solution for the construction of energy transportation systems in areas with complex terrains.
