For the first time, the near-threatened ghost plant has been spotted in central China's Qizimei Mountain Reserve. With its glass-like body, the plant does not contain chlorophyll and survives only in dark, damp forests. The reserve has now installed cameras to monitor and protect the plant. In the quiet of the night, the mother moose approached the lens, sniffing and glancing curiously, while her calf stayed close at her side. Moose are the world's largest deer species, weighing up to 600 kilograms and consuming over 20 kilograms of plants daily.
